I am very pleased with all of my vendors, but of all of them, Jessica is the one I'm most grateful to have contracted. Sure the music and food were great, but now that it's all said and done, what I have to hold on to (other than the husband ;)) are these stunning images that tell the story of our wedding day.
Her demeanor instantly put my husband and I at ease--he is not a picture taker, but she really made him feel comfortable. Our venue awarded us with lots of unique places for photographs, and she managed to find the best spots around. My family and friends were floored by the images, and several people have commented that they look like pictures straight out of a magazine. I never once had to worry about whether or not she was around to take the picture. She didn't miss a single beat, and it's reflected in the many many images I now have.
I can't say enough about her, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone looking to have THE BEST wedding photos possible.

Where do we even start?! Jessica Christian, of Jessica Photo, was a complete pleasure to work with from our initial telephone conversation through today and I'm certain through the next stages of ordering prints and creating other media. During our intial conversation, Jessica assured us that our relationship with her would not simply end at the end of the wedding night - and she has proven herself time and again. Needless to say, our photos are beyond phenomenal - we are so pleased and our friends and family cannot praise them enough. Jessica's artistic capabilities are beyond compare if you are looking to truly capture the emotions of your event. Through her pictures, she reminded us of emotions we did not even remember.
Jessica's laid back and upbeat personality was an added bonus during the sometimes stressful and very emotional wedding day. Not to give away any surprises, but the little touches that Jessica sent us during planning and just after our wedding are just a touch of what makes Jessica Photo so unique. A slideshow of our wedding was up within days (we were shocked!), and within just a few weeks she posted our web gallery and slideshows. We couldn't be happier.
Jessica truly cares about the art that she creates and strongly encourages her clients to enjoy the images alone, together and in a quiet place. This, to us, made reliving our wedding even more special. We cannot praise Jessica Photo enough - Jessica's work, her work ethic, personality and the end results are nothing less than phenomenal!

My fiance and I worked with Jessica on our engagement pictures and we could not have chosen a better photographer! Jessica's warm personality made us feel more comfortable during the photo session, which helped to capture our true personality instead of a rigid and posed look.
My fiance dreaded the idea of getting engagement pictures taken and I almost had to drag him there, but after working with Jessica and receiving the photographs he said he was glad HE thought of it!
I would definitely recommend Jessica not only for her extraordinary gift as a photographer but also for her relaxed and patient demeanor, which is evident in her work. Thank you Jessica!

We LOVE our wedding photos! We opted not to do a video and Jessica's style proved to be everything we needed to capture the emotion of our ceremony. The pictures turned out beautiful, the most difficult decision we have ahead is narrowing down which ones we want in an album! Jessica is so easy to work too. We highly recommend Jessica for your photography.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Jessica Christian. Jessica is a sweet person and a talented photographer, but she is an unskilled and sub-par businesswoman. While we loved our photographs, we confronted a series of very serious and troubling challenges in working with her.
First, we found her very pushy when it came time to buy prints and albums. She consistently tried to push items on us that we did not want or could not afford.
Second, she was unable to communicate clearly and effectively in writing whether via email, on her website, or through her contracts. This was particularly problematic for us because we live on the other side of the country from Jessica and have jobs that give us little flexibility during the day to talk on the phone. We also had three major family crises strike (from cancer diagnoses to major losses in the California wildfires) right after our wedding and really needed to do most of our communications via email. Jessica outright refused to correspond with us via email despite the fact that our family and work situations made it almost impossible to communicate in any other way. She was completely unhelpful and unresponsive during these tough times.
Finally, she (twice) boosted her prices on us after we signed our contract. When we complained, she assured us that she would respect her initial price quotes. However, in the end, she forced us to order from a site where albums cost four times more than her initial quotes. In the end, we ordered only 10 prints of our wedding because we couldn't afford the newer higher prices. I would have loved to write a positive glowing review of Jessica, but given the circumstances I suggest others think twice before hiring her.

Jessica was what we were looking for! Always with a prompt response, she was available to answer any questions when needed. The photos came out fabulous. We definitely don't have any regrets with choosing Jessica Christian for our photography on our wedding day!

We booked Jessica from across the country: we were on the West Coast and she was in the middle of relocating to the East Coast, where the wedding was. I was quite nervous about booking someone without even being able to meet her in person, but we liked her website and the way she came across on the phone and went with her. Boy, was that a good call. Jessica was very professional and brought an outstanding assistant with her.
We gave her fairly detailed input on the approach we were looking for (lots of photojournalism, some posed shots), who we were most concerned get photographed, what key events we wanted to make sure to capture, etc. Jessica showed up on time, with her assistant and ready to go. We had to do a good amount of the posed shots before the ceremony, which meant that timing was tight, but she made it all happen, and she and her assistant got all of the dressing scenes as well. They were pleasant to be around and interacted well with us, our guests, and the videographers. (We made it clear to the videographers that Jessica was the top-rank in the situation, but they worked together very well and both photography and videography turned out well.) Jessica and the assistant also had somewhat different photographic styles, which worked out extremely well, as it gave us some variety in the approaches used for the shots, but not so much as to appear disparate or incoherent.
After the wedding, we got the photos in a reasonable amount of time and they looked just great. Lots of great moments were captured, all of the events and posed shots that we wanted got done, and everything was good. We ran into a few technical glitches with the DVDs she made, but she didn't have all of her systems ironed out at that point and I'm sure it's all smoothed out now.
All in all, we would highly recommend Jessica for a wedding. If you give her lots of information in advance, she will digest it and do that much of a better job for you.
