In planning our wedding this was the first place we had booked. Our reception site! At that time, the events coordinator offered it to us at $1800. That's including the dance floor, the 9 table rounds, 5 cocktail tables, chairs, buffet tables, and white linens. We were free to bring in our own caterer and beverages (insured of course). Since we were having our reception there, they hooked us up with a room for the evening, and opted for a late checkout. This made it easier for all the girls and I to get ready prior to the ceremony. The reception was absolutely beautiful. With the open windows, gorgeous pool setting, and 260 degree view of the Carlsbad Coast, it really enhanced the ambiance. The outdoor bbq pit and decent sized kitchen made it manageable for the caterer and the bartenders to work. Another highlight of the venue was the front bonfire pit! This place is a hidden gem. So happy to have discovered it!

My husband and I choose this place because this is my Timeshare and we figured it would be the best place because we had our first kiss here.
As a member you get a special discount (huge benefit!) and you also get a longer amount of time.
We had both the ceremony and reception in the clubhouse since our wedding would be in feb and we didn't want to gamble with the weather. good thing we had the wedding in the club house rather than the lawn because it did end up raining.
i wouldn't recommend the lawn for the ceremony just because it's usually soggy all year round and you sink into the muddy grass with every step. heels would be awful. it'd be good if you were having a very relaxed ceremony and you are wearing sandals or something.
brenda was very helpful...when we had her attention. it took a few days and phone calls to get her to call me back in the beginning. she claims she is always busy. if that is the case, they should hire someone else to help out and ease the load because she is ALWAYS busy.
everyone involved were professional and courteous.
however, there was a great lack of communication on the day of my wedding. we were suppose to be let into the room at 11am to decorate, but the tables and chairs were suppose to be set up for us along with the microphone we were going to use during the ceremony. 11am came and the room wasn't ready. we ended up setting the room up ourselves. they came and set up the microphone, but didn't really show us how to use it. they also left it on, so by the time of the ceremony, the battery was dead and it died in the first 2 mins of the ceremony, and they charged us to use the mic...ahah.
either way. brenda was very flexible with us and let us do whatever we wanted (with in reason). i would imagine that this location would be better if you had a wedding planner to coordinate everything for you.
the price was good and the location was great! there are huge windows in the clubhouse that look out to the ocean. it was like having an outdoor wedding without having to be outdoors.
could have been worse, but could have been better.

I had a great experience working with Brenda and having our ring ceremony and reception at the Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. They were flexible with the times for us since it was Winter and sunset comes sooner. Also, they let us set up the day before since there were no other reservations. Hearing back about getting the lawn space for the ring ceremony took a little longer than expected but it all worked out in the end. Thank You Brenda & the staff at the Carlsbad Seapointe Resort!!

The wedding coordinator was very helpful! The room was setup exactly as I requested. The location was beautiful! Our reception was during the sunset and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in southern California!

This was a very nice looking venue for our ceremony and reception, however we had a few issues that make me hesitant about recommending this place to others for their wedding ceremony and/or reception. In the beginning when we were inquiring about the venue, Brenda, the coordinator, was very nice and very prompt about responding to our questions, but once we paid for everything in full, she was not as prompt in responding to our emails and phone calls. It seemed like once everything was paid for, the quality of their customer service went down. One of the things we were dissatisfied with was that we were told we would get a discount on a few rooms, however we learned (after we paid) that this was not true. Overall, it's one of the least expensive venues in Carlsbad, however if you don't want to have to worry about whether or not everything will go smoothly this may not be the place for you.

Brenda, the wedding coordinator, was very helpful in helping us with planning a reception and wedding at this facility. The Clubhouse is an awesome site for a reception. There are beautiful views of the ocean from its windows. The room is perfectly set up for a reception. The dance floor fit perfectly with the tables. There is a firepit outside of the room which was also a hit at the reception. The wedding itself was set up on the grass in the back of the property. We were able to make the area look absolutely beautiful with added shrubs on columns and an arch. This is a great place to host a wedding and reception! Thank you, Brenda!

This is a great location for a more "casual" wedding or party, bbq or meeting. It's near the beach, has lots of windows and is easy to get to from the freeway. And if you can book a guest room there, they are great:-)

Though we had a couple of issues, in the end, the Resort team was very quick to respond and made every effort to rectify the situation. We highly suggest this location to others and look forward to doing business with them again!

Great Place! Great Staff! I will be back for all my events!! The view... nothing better in all of Southern Cali....
