This venue, situated less than three miles from Del Mar and the Pacific Ocean, is set atop a 27-hole championship golf course and a boutique hotel on the property, known as a hidden jewel in Rancho Santa Fe.
Facilities and Capacity
La Valle Coastal Club & Resort outdoor ceremony and reception sites with maximum capacities of up to 400 guests, permitting weddings to be intimate and extravagant. Two elegant lawns that afford panoramic views of the dispersed palm trees and fairways make for stunning locations for couples to say their vows.
Indoor receptions can be held in a spacious renovated ballroom with a maximum capacity of up to 180 guests. The indoor facilities afford unmatched views of the surrounding fairways. Overall, the clubhouse features 77 boutique-style hotel rooms and suites for couples hosting an extended wedding event.
This venue provides excellent photo opportunities, including the circular entrance to the clubhouse, complete with a covered patio and clock tower.
La Valle Coastal Club & Resort’s amenities include tennis courts, a swimming pool with its whirlpool, a rejuvenating day spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Private get-ready rooms, including two luxury suites for the newlyweds, are also available for pre-ceremony preparations.

An incredible All-In-One Experience!
Bella, the events Director was incredible. She was thoughtful and responsive through the planning stages and was knowledgeable about the venue space. She was very helpful and provided great recommendations for menu selections and decor in the ballroom to make everything perfect with our theme and colors.
Bella also helped with our rehearsal and coordinated day of, ensuring we were prepared, in the right places, and that everything went smoothly.
The venue itself was stunning. We got to use the Del Mar lawn for the ceremony, the Terrace for cocktail hour and the ballroom for the reception. Each space was beautifully prepared and the option to have a change of scenery was appreciated by our guests. In addition to that, we were able to get Romantic Portraits on the golf course and they turned out beautiful!
The food was amazing. It was a huge relief that they provided it in house rather than having to look for an additional vendor, and it was delicious! Our guests were thrilled with the quality of everything from the drinks, Hors d'oeuvres, salad, and dinner.
Lastly, the hotel was fantastic! Morgan Run made it so easy to set up our room block for our guests. Not only that, but it was so convenient for our guests (and us) to be able to stay at the venue and have our rooms within walking distance from the reception. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was so kind.
I recommend anyone planning their wedding to choose Morgan Run!
