We had our wedding reception at the MOPA and could not have been happier with it! It's such a unique spot, with a great space and beautiful gallery, so we didn’t have to bring in a lot of extra decor (big relief!), but also had plenty of opportunity to make it our own. We had around 110 guests and thought the space was a great size, with plenty of room for tables and dancing. We had the ceremony in one of the nearby courtyards, and loved everything about the whole experience. Melissa is the event coordinator there and one of the main reasons that we chose the venue and had such an amazing day! She responded quickly to our (many) questions, had a wealth of information and suggestions, was very organized, and overall just made everything so much easier and stress-free. She went out of her way to help us with not only the reception venue, but also choosing and booking the ceremony space and suggesting other vendors. She also worked with our coordinator to come up with the arrangement of the space. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly. The Museum staff also deserves a big thank you for their work, as they did a great job breaking down the museum space, cleaning everything, and getting it ready for the reception. Everything was well coordinated, the space was prepared quickly, and it was opened up for the vendors to set everything up like clockwork. We really can’t say enough good things about it, and would absolutely recommend it!

We recently had our wedding here and it was spectacular! The museum was so easy to work with, especially Sally Ramirez and her team. They were true professionals and our wedding day went off without a hitch. If you're looking for a romantic, non-traditional wedding venue, look no further!

I loved having my wedding on the Star of India. It made for beautiful pictures and a great day. The staff always got back to me quickly with answers to all my questions and were very flexible.

We had this venue for reception only after getting married in a church. Our families agreed that this was one of the most unique venues they have been to. It was very easy to plan with their event staff, as we were doing the wedding ourselves. We added on a dance floor for our guests which I recommend. They we so flexible and accommodating, as they added on extra things to take care of our guests such as heaters. We loved having the museum open during cocktail hour that our guests could walk through. Our wedding party had a private room where we could store our belongings and go throughout the night.

We are SO happy that we chose this venue for our wedding! The staff was so incredibly friendly and treated us like family! Coby was our wedding coordinator and she was SUCH a sweetheart throughout the whole process. She kept me on track with wedding details, while also offering advice and pointers on things for the wedding! She was so helpful and understanding throughout the entire wedding process! I can't even imagine how I would have gotten through the event without her! She was a complete star! We also loved Rafael, who helped us with our Signature drinks, was just such an amazing guy! He was so friendly, helpful and creative! He treated us like family and, for us, we felt like he really was family! I mean I can't say enough about Rafael. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him, but despite that, the impression that he left upon me and my (now!) husband was unforgettable! There was also Ron, who was our "Captain". He helped us the day before and the day of the wedding, making sure that everything was getting set up correctly. When we had no idea what to do (in terms of hanging decorations) or when we felt that we lacked something or if we just had a general question/problem, he was there RIGHT AWAY to solve our problems! And he did it with style. Everything he chose/suggested was BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't believe it. We definitely wouldn't have had such an easy time decorating if it weren't with him. Overall, we are SO happy to have found this venue. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, the drinks were heavenly and the staff is undeniably the best staff ever. They are all about customer service and making sure that you are happy!

If you're looking for a unique venue to host your wedding, you can look no further than The Nat. The prices are excellent, the museum is beautiful, and its activities are great for guests of all ages. We held our church wedding at a local parish on 09/30/2023, followed by our reception on the same day at The Nat. Our reception was four hours long, starting with a cocktail hour on the second floor of the museum, and followed by a dinner/dance on the first floor. The museum is very spacious. We held a wedding reception with 160+ guests, with room to expand to 200 and still have space for a dance floor. We also had the advantage of having a scavenger hunt all around the museum (coordinated by The Nat) during cocktail hour, which our guests loved. I highly recommend adding the bar services from The Nat to your event. We got the 3-hour unlimited drinks Paleozoic-Liquor-Beer-Wine-Soda and a 1-hour cashless bar -- to allow people to sober up before leaving the reception. Overall, we are thrilled with how beautiful everything looked and the services provided at The Nat for our wedding reception. However, I recommend people be mindful that The Nat is a museum first and a wedding venue second. Communication was slow during our wedding planning/coordination period but sped up during our wedding month. Please be mindful of this and be patient with The Nat. They did a fantastic job on the day of our wedding, even gifting our catering team free tickets to visit the museum after our event, and I could not be more content with how incredible our reception was the day of our wedding.

We had the pleasure of DJing a wedding at the New Children's Museum a few weeks ago and can report having a wonderful experience. The museum is a fun and unique place for a wedding, and the layout works well for the entire event. We highly recommend it if you are looking for a venue for your upcoming wedding!

I didn’t even know you could have weddings at this aquarium. It was perfect for our wedding. They were very responsive and worked very well with my wedding planner Renee Hirsh. Just a beautiful venue.

This is such a unique venue and is really a special place for an event. The team led by Kate and John was so helpful and accommodating to everything we wanted to do. They really know how to make the day special and have a lot of ideas to help guide you in planning. And the food is really good! They worked with us to create a special menu that was just our taste plus they know what most people like so are able to direct you to delicious options. Several of our guests mentioned afterwards how much they enjoyed the venue and the food. We have been to the restaurant several times since and just love it. Our guests were able to peruse through the museum as well as enjoy the cool American history pieces throughout the space. I would definitely recommend Green Dragon Tavern & Museum to anyone planning an event - it is especially cool because you can go back to the restaurant/museum anytime and relive your special day. Exceptional service, great food, cool ambiance!
