We recently had our wedding here and it was spectacular! The museum was so easy to work with, especially Sally Ramirez and her team. They were true professionals and our wedding day went off without a hitch. If you're looking for a romantic, non-traditional wedding venue, look no further!

The venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and our guests were very impressed! Samantha was extremely helpful and responsive. We had our ceremony in the sculpture garden, cocktail hour in the museum and reception in the sculpture court. There was a large storm a few months before our wedding and the tent above the sculpture court was destroyed and subsequently removed. There was an initial concern that if there was any rain on our wedding day, then we would have to move the reception indoors to the museum or auditorium. But luckily the weather was perfect and the missing tent actually made the court more beautiful. We highly recommend hosting your wedding and reception at the museum…well worth the venue fee!

The staff at the SDMA was great to work with. They were very flexible with our ideas and let us have the wedding we wanted. It was perfect and all our of friends and family are still ooohhing and awwwwing over the venue.

Not only is The San Diego Museum of Art a beautiful venue for a wedding but the staff makes it all seamless.

Stunning! We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the San Diego Museum of Art, and the wedding was a dream. The Museum was the first and only venue we looked at - it was love at first sight and we need look no further. The Museum has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, incredible architecture, and makes a truly unique setting for a wedding. Our guests enjoyed having the opportunity to see the galleries and enjoy the art, and the Museum's architecture made for some amazing photos. Sarah, the Museum's event coordinator, was pleasant to work with. She was also flexible and accommodating, as we changed our minds several times about which outdoor space to use for the ceremony. My only complaint is that Sarah was difficult to get in touch with the week of the wedding, and did not seem to communicate to the security staff that the bridal dressing room was to remain unlocked during the wedding (and I was told it would be). But overall, we are extremely happy we selected the Museum as our wedding venue. It was a great choice!

We loved our reception at the San Diego Museum of Art. We had our ceremony at a church in San Diego, but the reception at SDMA in the Atrium of the museum and the galleries were also open to our guests. It was a really unique and very beautiful setting that perfectly captured the feel that my husband and I wanted for our wedding day.

WE had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the sculpture garden. The grounds are spacious, you are surrounded by art, and you are right below the tower and rotunda of Balboa Park. Sarah was a wonderful contact to deal with for rental of the space. I highly recommend the sculpture garden as a wedding location.

A truly unique venue for a wedding. Our ceremony was in the Sculpture Garden and the reception was in the Sculpture Court. I would call quick for dates because they only have a few available.
