Facilities and Capacity
Bali Hai Restaurant has three refreshing private event rooms reminiscent of islands in the South Pacific. Each can be transformed for casual or formal celebrations. The Tiki Room blends contemporary elegance with a beachy vibe, and is ideal for small weddings or parties of up to 32 guests. Alternately, the South Pacific Room can host grand events of up to 200 attendees. With a private bar and permanent dance floor, it has all the essentials for a lively party. The Hawaiian Village is a tremendous outdoor space reminiscent of luaus and white sand beaches. Depending on your setup, the pavilion can accommodate weddings of 200 guests. It is fully customizable, so events here can reflect the beautiful San Diego area or transport guests to the Hawaiian islands.

This venue offers all-inclusive packages for weddings held here. The expert staff have planned a wide array of events and have a wealth of knowledge. In addition to the delightful catering menus and extensive bar packages, the restaurant has an assortment of items available for event rentals. Reception essentials including glassware, flatware, china, and linens can all be provided by the venue. All packages cover event setup and cleanup in order to make weddings as stress-free as possible.
Cuisine
Bali Hai serves delectable South Pacific dishes, with an emphasis on Hawaiian cuisine. Executive Chef Dion effortlessly blends Polynesian and Californian flavors to create the restaurant’s signature dishes. Wedding menus are fully customized to the couple’s tastes with pre-wedding tastings. Choose from plated service or go all out Hawaiian with a private luau buffet. They also have options for brunch and cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres. The serving staff will even cut and serve the wedding cake with all event rentals of the facility. In addition, there are several bar packages available, each with a selection of beer, wine, and liquor with a complimentary champagne toast and signature drink.

Best venue in San Diego
Brittany and Ashley were very knowledgeable and helpful during the planning, and especially the day of. The ceremony and reception went by so smoothly.
We did the buffet and tray passed appetizers and everything was delicious. The location was perfect and we honestly could not be happier with how gorgeous and fun our wedding was.
A very big thank you to the waiters who worked our event as well. Lee was my (the bride) personal server during the event and she made sure I had everything I needed and more. No other venue provided as much as Bali Hai does and that alone makes it a fabulous choice for any event.

Beautiful and affordable
When we first visited the Bali Hai, we were blown away by the gorgeous outdoor spaces and we knew that we wanted to celebrate our special day there immediately. We found the Bali Hai at a wedding expo, pre-COVID, and we felt that it was one of the more affordable options and it included the ceremony site, food, basic drinks, cake cutting, tables and chairs, etc. This simplified the planning process while still allowing us to have some flexibility to choose our own vendors. The event planning team at the Bali Hai was awesome and accommodating through every step of the planning process.
Our wedding at the Bali Hai was a dream and everyone had a great time. Everyone raved about the food and the cocktails are amazing as well. I couldn’t recommend the Bali Hai more.

A 15 year wedding vendor relationship with the Baumann Family and easily over 100+ wedding ceremonies performed at the beautiful San Diego bay side location with such an awesome support staff where in addition to all this; we booked this very location for our daughter Sarah's wedding. Over the last 10 years, Larry Baumann and his family has donated their location to our www.militrymondays.net philanthropic outreach where in November 2015, we celebrated our 500th FREE ceremony to our active military. We love the Bali Hai!
The Bali Hai staff is accommodating and professional in every way. The setting is right on the water and the ceremony site is intimate and right on the harbor. The outdoor patio is the perfect size, and is also right along the water. The venue is memorable and modern.
