We had such a great experience overall! The planning process leading up to our wedding was incredibly smooth. Derek was very helpful throughout the planning process and Will was also amazing to work with and made us feel confident going into the weekend.

The vendors they provided were truly incredible. DJ Brian was amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor, and Deb, our photographer, was absolutely wonderful. The servers and bartenders were phenomenal and went above and beyond for us and our guests all night.

The food was DELICIOUS and we had so many guests tell us how much they loved it. The desserts from Sugar Bear were also incredible and such a hit.

There are so many moving pieces that go into a wedding and we’re really grateful for all of the people who worked behind the scenes to make ours so special. We especially cannot say enough good things about the vendors and staff who showed up for us and made the day so much fun. Thank you for helping us create a weekend we’ll never forget! 🤍

The Abbey Catering & Event Company was AMAZING! We had our wedding reception at the Martin Johnson House on 9/12/2026. Huge shout-out to David Robertson, our coordinator, who was truly the best. From start to finish, the Abbey was support helpful and informed about the wedding planning process. I found that to be super helpful as it was my first time planning a wedding! Troy was up to date with all the prices and had great knowledge of the venue! Thank you to Leslie, our event captain, who took the time to make sure we were well feed!! I found the all in 1 catering option to be very benifical. I loved that the Abbey had cotacts for Photographer, DJ, Cake, Florist, & more. All of our vendors through the Abbey were supper helpful and had the best vibes. Our photographer was Chris Wood from SD Photo Studio who captured our wedding perfectly. Our DJ was DJ Andrew Shaba from Wedding Entertainment collective and he kept the dance floor packed the entire night. Mishele from emerald and ivy created the best floral arrangments. Sugar Bear Bakery had such delicous cupcakes! Thank you to the Abbey Company & all of the vendors they work with! We had the best night! The food was also amazing! We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Abbey Catering & Events. They helped bring our dream wedding to life, and our day was more magical than we ever could have imagined.

From our very first conversation with Troy to the final goodbye with the team on our wedding night, every interaction was exceptional. Everyone was professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding perfect. We felt supported throughout the entire process and knew we were in incredibly capable hands.

We also have to give a special shout-out to Mishele. Her design eye is incredible! The florals were absolutely breathtaking and exceeded everything we envisioned. We had countless guests tell us they were the most beautiful wedding flowers they had ever seen. Every detail felt thoughtful, elevated, and completely us.

And Abel was AMAZING! He is truly one of the best DJs we have ever experienced. Our black-and-white dance floor stayed packed all night, the energy was incredible, and everyone had the best time. Seeing all of our favorite people dancing together all night was one of our favorite memories from the wedding.

Choosing Abbey was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They didn’t just provide services—they helped create an experience that we and our guests will remember forever.

Celebrating my 50th birthday deserved something truly extraordinary, and Abbey Catering delivered an experience that was beyond anything I could have imagined. Hosting my celebration at The Headquarters in Downtown San Diego was already special, but the exceptional food and impeccable service made it an unforgettable evening for me and every one of my guests.

Working with Megan was an absolute dream. From our very first conversation, she made me feel like my celebration was as important to her as it was to me. She anticipated every detail, offered thoughtful guidance, and handled everything with warmth, grace, and professionalism. Knowing she was behind the scenes allowed me to relax and be fully present with my family and friends on such a meaningful milestone.
Chef David created a menu that was nothing short of spectacular. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and absolutely delicious. The flavors were elegant, fresh, and memorable—true restaurant-quality cuisine that exceeded every expectation. Throughout the evening, guests kept stopping me to rave about the food, saying it was some of the finest catering they had ever experienced.

We had a great experience working with Abbey Catering for our wedding. Will, Chuck and John made the whole process super smooth and easy. Our coordinator Chuck did an amazing job setting up all of our decor even though it arrived later than planned (our fault), and was a pleasure to have guiding us throughout the evening. Guests loved the food and drinks and were very impressed with the whole event. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stellar catering and event planning team! 

We cannot say enough amazing things about Abbey Catering and their entire team. We got married at Scripps Seaside Forum on Valentine’s Day, and from the beginning, Abbey made us feel confident that we were in the best hands. We were lucky enough to have Chuck F. as our coordinator, and he was absolutely incredible!! He is very professional, attentive, and carries a calming energy. One moment that perfectly captures who Chuck is happened right after our ceremony. My husband and I went straight into bridal portraits on the beach and in the excitement of the day, I obviously hadn’t eaten anything. Chuck noticed and came down to the beach with a full plate of appetizers for us even though it wasn’t technically time for appetizers yet. My husband, our two photographers, Chuck, and I ended up having this hilarious and unforgettable moment eating the apps (as shown in picture). It was such a small gesture, but it meant so much and showed the level of care he puts into his couples. Our friends and family are still telling us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and how impressed they were with the food. The entire Abbey team was wonderful, from Will during the initial planning process, to DJ Abel and the entire event staff who helped bring everything together. We are so grateful we chose Abbey Catering and are already recommending them to anyone getting married in San Diego!

We used Abbey Catering for our 5/31/26 wedding at the Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla and they made our dream wedding possible. We chose to use Abbey exclusively for every aspect of our wedding – rentals, catering, photography, DJ, and florist. Their all-inclusive package made wedding planning very easy (especially as two medical students planning from out of state) and customizable to what you want. Our wedding coordinator, David, made planning very easy and answered any questions that came up. Using all Abbey vendors made it very easy to plan as they were all familiar with the venue and team so they were able to provide a lot of guidance and suggestions. The package was also budget friendly for a beach side wedding especially compared to our caters allowed at Scripps.

On the day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly from set-up to clean-up. All of our guests had a blast and David led us through the day seamlessly and felt like we could enjoy each moment (including being able to actually eat dinner and cocktail apps). Every detail of the wedding was beautiful and the food was delicious! Of our Abbey vendors, we thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris Wood (photographer), Cameron (DJ from Wedding Entertainment Collective), and Mishele (Florist, Emerald & Ivy). We would be happy to work with Abbey again and 10/10 recommend them for a wedding at Scripps Seaside.

On top of that, he took the time to get to know us and understand our vision for this wedding.

David and Petr took over from there to flesh out the wedding details, providing their expertise to ensure we didn't miss anything and communicated with us regularly to ensure the planning process happened in a timely manner, thereby reducing stress.

Petr was our day-of coordinator, and the day could not have gone more perfectly. Petr is thoughtful, considerate, detail-oriented, and has amazing vision. We were able to focus on enjoying the wedding knowing Petr had the whole event under control.

The day really was a dream and it's all thanks to the magnificent Abbey team (especially Petr!). Abbey is a one-stop shop for anything you need for your event. We booked the photographer, DJ, photobooth, and all the catering services through Abbey. This meant, we only had one point of contact for the majority of the wedding. So convenient! All our guests had such a great time. The food was exquisite, drinks were tasty, photobooth was a hit, and dancefloor was LIT (shoutout to Brian, the best DJ). We hope to have an excuse to plan an event with them in the future!

We used Abbey Catering for our wedding on May 16th in San Diego and could not have asked for a better team to be part of such an important day. From start to finish, everything was executed with incredible precision, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The dinner & hors d'oeuvres were fantastic, beautifully presented, delicious and one of the things our guests continued talking about afterward. What really stood out to us throughout planning was the level of personalization and flexibility they offered. They made the process feel collaborative and helped bring our vision to life rather than making us fit into a standard package.

On the wedding day itself, their timing and organization were absolutely flawless. Catering is one of those things guests don’t always notice unless something goes wrong and with Abbey, everything flowed so seamlessly that we were able to stay present and actually enjoy the day.

A huge thank you to Chuck, our coordinator, who truly ran a tight ship in the best possible way. Wedding days can be chaotic with a million moving parts, but Chuck kept everything moving smoothly, stayed organized, anticipated needs before they came up, and made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. His calm, efficient leadership made such a difference and gave us so much peace of mind throughout the day.

Choosing Abbey was hands-down the best decision we made for our wedding. They covered essentially everything we needed at an incredibly reasonable price, and having a single point of contact for the majority of our vendors made the entire process so much easier.
