The Pearl Hotel is an elegant wedding venue located in San Diego, California. This San Diego institution sits in the center of Point Loma, with the hotel's interiors outfitted in contemporary design in contrast to its mid-century 1960s architectural features. Our weddings take place at the heart of the property -- think classic California cool with an indoor/outdoor bar and, of course, a sparkling oyster-shaped pool that will house a ceremony and reception. As our property is intimate with 23 stylish rooms, a full buy-out is required on the evening of the wedding. If a couple has ever dreamed of owning their own hotel, this is the way! Only the lovebirds and their closest friends and family will have a part in this big day.

Facilities and Capacity

The Pearl features an indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options, dependent upon guest count. Intimate gatherings of up to 40 people may enjoy a seated ceremony and reception dinner on the premises. Larger seated occasions can be accommodated with off-property ceremonies and special configurations for on-site receptions. A seated reception with a dance floor can be arranged for up to 90 guests, while a contemporary standing cocktail-style event can accommodate up to 120 people.

My husband and I got married here 4th of July weekend, and i am so happy we picked The Pearl to get married at! The staff is the best of the best! All of them are so accommodating and willing to help you with anything you need. Every time I would run into the staff they would make sure I was doing ok and asked me if i needed anything, it was such a great feeling knowing that we were all being taken such good care of. All of our friends and family rented out the hotel for the entire weekend and I didn't hear one complaint about the Hotel. The day of the wedding was so relaxing, Cynthia took care of everything while the girls and i got ready. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, everything was PERFECT!!!! I heard from multiple people that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The set up at the Pearl is small but it's perfect for a wedding, it puts off such a relaxing vibe while encouraging the guests to mingle and dance. The best part of the night was jumping in the pool and having a pool party with all the guests. I highly recommend this venue!!!!

Oh The Pearl. My absolute favorite place in the world. My husband and I were honored to be one of the few weddings they book each year. Our wedding could not have been anymore perfect Thanks to The Pearl Hotel. I honestly felt and still feel like we were the only wedding, the way they catered to us and treated us and treated all of our family and friends. Out of our 100 or so guests, all we have heard is positive feedback (and a little jealousy) over our wedding.
If you book the hotel for your event, you basically own the hotel for a day (more like the entire weekend). Our whole group of family and friends booked up most of the rooms on Friday Night, and you have to have all 23 rooms booked on Saturday (day of event). We had a handful of friends and family stay Thursday through Monday, and the Pearl gave us incredible rates. The ambiance, the vibe, THE STAFF, the Chef and his amazing food, the bartenders, the front desk gals, EVERYONE should be rated A++, 5 star, over the top AWESOME!! Meghan was with me through the entire planning and was there for me with any questions we had.
the hotel/venue: It is a small boutique hotel, and there really is no way to explain it, other than you must go and check it out... buyer beware though, once you go, you fall in love and you don't want to book anywhere else. The style is 60's retro beach/palm springs/mad men on a swanky vacation. The succulent wall, the tables, the lighting, all are spot-on and so chic. You will NOT need to worry about anything (no extra decorations, the table linens, the flatware, the seating, the candles, etc.) All is taken care of the arranged and provided. the rooms are all super cute and very comfy. the rooms are CLEAN, the beds/sheets/pillows are very comfortable. And each of the rooms have their own beta fish to keep you company. Natalie and the hotel front desk gals are so friendly and accomodating. the food: OH MY GOODNESS! So good and so much of it! I could go on, but no more room....

We got married at The Pearl in September and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The service was awesome and everyone that works there really went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly and that we had a great time.

We stayed for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very cool and we loved Sunday brunch around the pool.

The decor and ambiance of this place is very unique, and unlike anywhere else in San Diego. It was also pretty cool to have the entire hotel to ourselves and I would recommend anyone to plan their next private party there.

The food was delicious (as always) and got nothing but compliments from all of our guests.

Thank you Kimberly, Jon, Jaison, and Danielle for everything. I'm sure we'll see you soon!

Please ask for Cynthia as she will place you in the right direction of getting it all taken cared of and your vision seen as well! She and the whole staff at the Pearl are AMAZINGLY sweet and nice! They will take care of you from the moment you step onto the place until the end!!!

We weren't looking for a boutique hotel for our wedding accommodations, but after visiting The Pearl for a few b-day drinks, we thought it would be the perfect venue to host our Wedding Weekend! We quickly booked the entire hotel by guaranteeing we would fill all the open rooms. Which wouldn't be hard considering most of our wedding party and guest were traveling from out of town.

We ended up having a blast here the entire weekend of our wedding! We booked all but 2 rooms (already booked by non-guests) for our wedding party, family, & friends. The largest room was perfect for us newlyweds and we got a flat rate for all the rooms! Their staff was extremely helpful and flexible in making arrangements for our specific room assignments and following up to make sure our guests booked.

With the bar, pool, lounge, and super cool vibe, it was the perfect venue to gather our favorite people for one of the most important days of our lives! Our after party at the hotel was a blast and we even had a pool party the day after (even in late October the weather was perfect for a fun day in the pool!). Everyone loved The Pearl and have commented that they would book there on their next visit down to SD!

Horrific experience

The venue inside photographs well. That’s about the only plus from the venue. Otherwise, do not spend a dime here. This place will make the most important day of your life absolutely miserable. We had our rehearsal here and booked out every room so we could get ready together. Thank god we didn’t have our ceremony and reception here otherwise I’d have had the worst wedding experience ever. They made us feel like we were intruding in their home, that’s the service they provide. God forbid you have a room block. My guests had to call 3x each to book a room and they’d always tell them they’d call them back and never did because they had no idea what they were doing. Response time to emails lacks incredibly and there is no sense of care or urgency surrounding brides. Front desk staff is incompetent and rude, restaurant staff is rude. Just stay away. Venue is way too expensive and they don’t even seem grateful you’re giving them business
