Here's the thing... Meredith makes amazing cakes. Unfortunately, I am unable to rate her on Photography, because, after nearly 3 months, we still have not seen the our wedding photos! We have called her numerous times and sent emails, but she has stopped responding. When I last spoke to her three weeks ago, she said that she was sending the pictures out priority mail and we would receive them by the end of the week. Perhaps priority mail in Delaware means walking the package from Delaware to Virginia. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

I have since contacted several people who used her photography service over the past couple of years, and all have had similar experiences. When I checked out the Delaware BBB I found that she has an "F" rating because she is 1) not accredited, and 2) has had 2 complaints filed against her over the past couple of years. One of which she did not even respond.

Meredith, to say we are disappointed is the epitome of understatement. While your cakes are wonderful, your professionalism is lacking. Perhaps you are spreading yourself thin by trying to juggle two businesses, maybe there is something else going on... I don't know because YOU DON'T RESPOND!!!! Whatever the reason, at this point, I really don't care. We just want our pictures!

Meredith Wade is a gem - I absolutely LOVED working with her on my wedding cake and groom's cake. She was a lot of fun and very communicative during the planning process. The wedding cake came out beautifully, just what I'd hoped for -- contemporary and unique, and the groom's cake was spectacular (a replica of the groom's favorite cigar ashtray complete with fondant cigars with his favorite brands' cigar wrappers, which I'd mailed to Meredith prior to the wedding so she could copy them). Both cakes tasted even better than I'd expected. I highly recommend Cakes By Meredith - you won't regret working with her!

I would NEVER recommend her services to anyone! She does not return telephone calls or emails. I had to wait months for my pictures and she must have has too many orders the weekend of my wedding because my cake looked like it had been thrown together in an hour. She did nothing with details and could not even spend the time to get the colors to match my topper.
What a waste of money...

Meredith has taken pictures for 2 weddings. Never again. She does not respond to calls or emails. I feel like once the wedding is over she is done. Her cakes area amazing, but her professionalizm is not! DO NOT USE HER IF YOU WANT PICTURES! To date we have not received the serivces we paid for from a February 27th 2010 Wedding! How sad that she has put such a sour taste to what is suppose to be a girls dream day! My lawyer says small claims court is the way to go so I guess the next time we see her will be in court

I cant even give a rating because I still have not received my Pictures and my Wedding was 3 months ago. Meredith also did my cake and she was fantastic. The whole planning process was great and even the wedding was perfect. But since then I am never able to get in touch with her, she doesnt return my calls or email, except one day, and I still have no CD. She has told me twice that she mailed it, the second time overnight, but I still have nothing. Very disappointing.

The Best to work with. Best cake ive ever had. quests said the same thing. Very friendly and family orientated. She was awesome with my childern and taking their pictures, my son in 21 months and daughter is 9 months, but she knew just how to get their attention!!!

This was a very nice idea to have cakes and photography as one in the same. I don't know that I would exactly reccomend it in the future. I sort of felt like there were 5 hours of service paid for and only received probably a total of 3 hours. There weren't many pictures taken while I was getting ready and there was more chatting, sitting and eating going on during the reception than what I would have preferred. I have not seen final proofs of the pictures taken, so I am unable to make an accurate assessment of the photos...these are not to be received for 3 weeks. Initially when I spoke to Meredith, she made mention that we should receive photos in 2 weeks...at the reception, I found out it would take 3-4 weeks. I was a little shocked. The video is not actually a video, it is more of a DVD slide show...note to self, I should have been more thorough in my questioning from the get go. The pricing seemed reasonable and probably would have been moreso had I received a full 5 hours of photos.

The cake service was great. I was very pleased with the taste and style of the cake, it was fantastic! My guests were very pleased with the cake in it's entirety...taste and style.

I would reccomend cake service from Meredith any time! For cake service, she is definitely the BEST!

Meredith was everything we wanted and more!

First, the cake she made for us was utterly delicious and absolutely beautiful. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it all night, and the next morning too! Her attention to detail was amazing, and it made the cake flawless. She also made candies that were our party favors, and they were great too!

We were also blessed to have Meredith available that day to be our photographer, and that was the best decision I could have ever made to have her. She was exactly what I wanted--she was fun, she took a ton of pictures of everything and everyone, she enjoyed the company of my husband and I as well as our guests, and she really felt like a part of our family. I absolutely love that aspect of her.

As for the pictures, I have so many words that can describe them, but basically they are priceless. More than what I could have hoped for, and the DVD slideshow was so adorable! She had asked my mother's input on the music, and when I watched it with my family, we were all in awe.

If you want an amazing cake and photography, Meredith Wade is the choice for you!

Amazing!!! My beach theme cake was so beautiful I almost didn't want to cut it. It was also very tasty. Meredith came to my mother's house for a private tasting which was very convenient. We also ordered her cookies which came in beach themed shapes that everyone just loved. I'll be going back for any other special event that requires cake.

Our wedding cake was a huge hit! Being a Christmas tree, many guests didn't know it was actual cake. It was delicious as well as beautiful.
She had our pictures back to us in less than a week. They were beautiful and amazing! Have Meredith do both made the planning and day itself so much easier. The discount on our cake and her reasonable photography prices save us a lot of money that we were able to put towards our honeymoon.
She is one of the nicest people I've ever met and I highly recommend her!

Meredith went over and above in the service department. If she hadn't heard from me, she made sure she called and emailed me until she got in touch with me. That is just unheard of. She helped me get my decisions made (I am extremely indecisive) and got the perfect cake to my reception. She worked with my florist to get the flowers that I wanted on the cake. I would highly recommend her. She can make almost anything your heart desires!

We had Meredith make our cake and take the pictures at our wedding. Out of all of our vendors, she was by far the easiest and most professional vendor we worked with. She has outstanding quality in both her cakes and photography capabilities. Thank you so much for making our day the most memorable and beautiful!

I highly recommend Cakes by Meredith! She was very helpful and understanding as I changed my mind about 5 times! lol! The cake looked gorgeous and was delicious! I especially liked the vanilla with Raspberry filling layer! MMmm! The cake was delivered on time safe and sound, just as promised. Thanks Meredith!

I can't say enough about Cakes By Meredith....she is GREAT!!!! I am an executive chef at local restaurant here in Delaware and I wanted the best. She is so talented, she was easy and fun to work with and exceeded all of our expectations. People are still talking about our wedding cakes. I even went back to her for my bosses 50th birthday cake. You can't go wrong with choosing Meredith!!!!

Meredith was one of our favorite vendors, particularly because she was one of the few that REALLY listened to what we wanted. Everything was perfect and tasted great! She was also extremely responsive, which is a rare trait for many wedding vendors. Highly recommended!
