Originally for Cote D’Ivoire, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design Yacouba Tanou, moved to Washington DC  in 2003 at the age of 25.

His passion for documentary photography was sparked upon arrival to DC, when he witnessed the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.  It was at this moment he discovered the power of storytelling through imagery.  Initially, with a disposable camera and creative mind Yacouba Tanou began his journey to become an internationally published Professional Photographer. 

Yacouba has since then photographed events at the White House to the streets of DC.  He specializes in Event and Wedding photography.   Yacouba enjoys spending his free time exploring the City with his wife while cultivating personal creative projects and documentaries.  

He is available for events anywhere in the United States.
