About Us
I am an ordained Episcopal priest in Manhattan and a hospital chaplain. In both roles I work with people of all faiths (Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Roman Catholics, Protestants, etc) and people of no faith on a daily basis. Whether it is in the hospital or at a wedding, it is never my intention to try to persuade people to believe certain things or act in certain ways. Rather, it is my hope that I can be supportive and help the couple achieve their aims. I am very open, flexible, and accommodating to the people with whom I work. I will gladly officiate at traditional/religious, interfaith, non-denominational, and civil ceremonies. The wedding day is all about the couple -- not the minister -- and it is they who are making promises to each other. I see it as my role to facilitate their promise-making by assisting them in the writing of their vows (if they would like assistance with that) and by officiating in such a way as to represent the dignity of the couple and the moment. |
