As a full and ordained member of Jewish clergy, and Cantor Emerita East End Temple in Manhattan where she served as Senior Cantor for eighteen years, Cantor Shira Ginsburg utilizes the traditional Jewish wedding rituals, liturgy and symbolism as a stepping off point to create meaningful and personalized wedding experiences unique to each couple. All couples engage in pre-marital counseling with Cantor Ginsburg and can expect the highest level of expertise, Jewish knowledge, and personalized attention to your needs. As a Cantor, Shira brings her extensive knowledge of liturgy, experience, and celebrated warm mezzo-soprano with her under each chuppah.
Shira proudly works with Jewish, interfaith, gay and lesbian and transgender couples alike to create a wedding of joy, sanctity and beauty reflecting the couple's individuality while honoring Jewish and family traditions.
