Color and black and white are available. I frequently include black and white images in the final wedding photos and albums.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
There is no lighting situation I haven't faced while working for newspapers. That experience has taught me to be able to assess a situation quickly and determine the best way to capture it.
Is your media preference film or digital?
All digital, all the time.
How many photographers do you work with?
Sometimes I work with an assistant but the vision and work is mine.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never. I put my entire creative and physical being into capturing the wedding. I wouldn't have the energy for two!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring two cameras, various lenses and flashes, a portable lighting kit and portable battery pack. If necessary, I can light anything, anywhere.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I keep a third camera body in the car, just in case...
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge by the event. I don't book by the hour. I tell a story and when the story begins and ends is the length of time that I will stay, within reasonable limits.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I don't take breaks.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I don't provide proofs. The bride and groom receive all their wedding materials, photo album, c.d. of all the images taken at the wedding, web upload of an edited version, within eight weeks of the wedding date.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
dvd and website
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Not applicable
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
The images are part of the package, copyright free. They can be used for reprint and personal purposes only, no commercial use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
yes, I use the images on my website, blog and any other promotional materials as needed
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes
Will images be available for viewing online?
