Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
I price my cakes by the total concept. The more details you can give me in the initial request, the more specific I can be in my initial estimate. For example, instead of saying 'I want a 3 tier square cake' tell me 'I want a 3 tier cake, topsy tupvy, with buttercream frosting, flavors to be decided at tasting'. That tells me alot, as pricing for buttercream is different from frondant, and tiers alltogether and different from those seperated etc.. Got a picture of a cake you like? Send the the url with the request and I can quote much better! Basically, the more details you provide me, the more accurate a quote I can give :)
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
The top tier can only 'keep' if you select a fondant cake, otherwise it will not freeze well.
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
I work with both. You can send me a picture and I can re-create it, or we can work with sketches.
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
I can create organic cakes, flourless cakes, sugar free, just about anything to accomodate any dietary restriction.
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
Depending on my availability and the type of cake needed, I have done cakes in as little as 2-3 days notice.
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
While at Publix, I have done as many as 25 cakes in a weekend.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Of Course!
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
I do not offer any rental equipment, however I can recommend several vendors locally who do.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
I offer free delivery within Pinellas County. Hillsborough County is an extra $75.00. My kitchen is very close to the Skyway Bridge, so I will also deliver to the Bradenton area for a $75.00 delivery fee.
