Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Since we primarily work in a digital medium, all of our images are initially recorded in color. It is during the printing process that we specify for certain images to be printed in BW and/or sepia, in addition to color. We also offer design services, which include retouching and artistic interpretation.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
That is the beauty of digital capture--we are prepared for anything!
Is your media preference film or digital?
We can shoot in either digital or film, but prefer digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
1-2 per wedding
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We never book more than one wedding in a day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Thankfully, this has never been neccessary. But, of course, if there is an extreme emergency, we do have a network of professional photographers with whom we work.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Either one.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. $375 per hour above your contracted time, if time is added at the wedding.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Breaks are not our priority.
Do you charge for travel?
Only if the wedding is outside of the Metro DC area.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
2-4 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Depending on the pacakge you select, initial proofing may be on the website, on a DVD, in a proof magazine or as paper proofs.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Forever.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, we retain the copyright for the photos.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, but if you feel strongly about not having your photographs published, please tell us.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, we provide you with digital files of your images.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, your images will be posted to an online gallery.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Primarily Queensberry, but we do have other companies with whom we work.
When will the client get the final album?
You will receive your album approximately 8-12 weeks after we place the order.
