John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum
If you and your partner are history buffs, you’ll adore this Boston wedding venue on the water. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, located on a 12-acre park, was designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei and is an incredible nine-story glass pavilion with water views. With an ideal and convenient location directly on the Charles River, the Museum of Science is one of our favorite Boston wedding venues on the water. The photo ops are pretty incredible with a range of amazing backdrops from dinosaur skeletons to river views. There are five spaces at the museum where you can host a wedding, from the covered outdoor Washburn Pavilion directly on the Charles to the more traditional Skyline Room to the Blue Wing, where the museum’s galleries are in full view. The Museum of Science has Wolfgang Puck as its in-house caterer, so your guests are sure to rave about the food!

There are two gorgeous indoor ballrooms for receptions, including the glamorous Wharf Room with its 19-foot ceilings and glittering chandeliers. There aren’t too many venues with ample outdoor space in the city, but this beautiful hotel is one of them. We are huge fans of the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor’s Harborside Pavilion and Lawn. Couples can wed on the lawn, which overlooks the Boston skyline, and host their reception inside the tented Pavilion, which can host up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing. There are indoor event spaces too, including the majestic Grand Ballroom, with space for up to 300 guests, and the light-filled Skyline Ballroom, with its views of the skyline and Boston Harbor.

We love the modern feel of this Boston hotel—and of course its stunning views of the Boston skyline and Charles River. This venue can host larger events—up to 400 guests—and features four spaces where you can host your wedding day. In particular, we love the 3,000 square foot Riverside Terrace, where you can host an outdoor wedding or cocktail hour. This venue is also an ideal spot for guest accommodations and can host other wedding-related events, including showers and post-wedding brunches.

Boston Marriott Long Wharf
This Boston wedding venue on the water is all about making your wedding planning experience completely stress-free. Of course the views of Boston Harbor are spectacular, but you’ll also love the convenience of in-house catering and the fact that your guests can stay on site. There are several spacious ballrooms to choose from—the hotel can host weddings of up to 400 guests—but perhaps our favorite feature is the proximity to Christopher Columbus Park. The park is located right outside the hotel, and not only is a great outdoor ceremony site, but also a scenic spot for wedding photos.

There’s perhaps no better venue for a nautical-themed Boston wedding than a boat! There are four vessels to choose from, including the 1920s-style yacht Vallant and the two-level paddlewheel boat Lexington. You don’t have to be a billionaire to host a wedding on your own private island. Okay, so maybe Thompson Island isn’t exactly a private island, but it sure will feel that way on your wedding day.
