Escort Card Dilemma - What did you do?

I have NO idea how to display my escort cards! I've thought about doing names on a chalk board or traditional name cards with table numbers....BORING. Anyone have a brilliant idea? Please send me pictures if you have them!

Could you do something that goes with your theme? We had a Phillies theme and the escort cards were baseball tickets.

Also, check out Pinterest. It had so many escort card ideas.

I had ORIGINALLY planned an October wedding and thought about using mini (itty bitty) pumpkins as the escort cards and somehow jazzing them up a bit. I was totally planning on playing up the fall theme

We are having a photo booth, so I bought photo strip frames and we will print out slips to put in them. They will have the names and table numbers. Don't know how we will display it on the table, yet, but that is what we are doing for escort cards/favors.

We're attaching our escort cards to skeleton keys that will be hanging near our guest book. FH wanted everyone to have a "Tardis" key.

What's your theme? We aren't doing escort cards but are doing a seating chart- and this is our inspiration!

I'm doing something similar to Future_Mrs_D. I re-purposed a 60 year old picture frame that my grandparents received as one of their wedding gifts!

    Photo #1 is my inspiration.

Photo #2 i my mock-up to make sure the sizing will work.

I am doing escort cards but also might type up a seating chart too as it is a big group. I am just doing escort cards by family though and displaying with sliced log to keep things organized....if I do a seating chart it will be on a old window (or 3).

I'm doing the "boring" method (lined up on a table). I don't have the motivation to make something cute nor the extra funds to spend on it. I am content with "boring" - I personally believe that all these details everyone else does makes the traditional methods seem "boring."

But what do I know? I had the same complaints about prom and how people are judged for their pale white skin because they refuse to go get a fake tan. If no one tanned, everyone with light skin would be pale and no one would care. I generally think the same thing about lots of extra wedding details.

Our venue has a specific table in the lobby for escort cards so rather than trying to do a bulletin board like I had originally wanted, we are going to just line them up.

We are, however, incorporating our theme; our wedding is based around our love for classic cars and the 72 Nova that we've restored together over the years, so I cut out our escort cards in the shape of the Chevy bowtie. The picture is just a mock up (I'm a little more than a year out so I don't actually have to make them yet, just wanted to get ideas - the writing will be much nicer, too, of course!)

We are trying to save costs with ours. Originally, I was going to do pumpkins like Maltese thought about, but we ended up doubling up our favors as escort cards. We are having individual bags of caramel corn and we will tie name tags on them with table numbers.

Do you have a favor decided yet? You could double up too!

Our venue told us that we had to have each person's meal choice on an escort card, so we had to use them! To be honest I didn't even think of doing some elaborate thing...I saved my creativity for other parts of the wedding lol! Everyones ideas are beautiful, though! Love them!

So we got beautiful escort cards that match our theme - I bought them with our invitations & thank you cards to match! - and I'll be putting them out on a table with some decor! They're a nice thick textured paper and have beautiful watercolor pink peonies around the edges. & Our colors are light pink & gold, so we're putting up three ornate gold filigreed frames up at the back of the table, featuring pictures of our grandpa's who have passed. We'll also have two vases in between the 3 frames with white hydrangea poofs! So it'll be pretty classy, I think Smiley smile

Thank you all for the suggestions! We are sticking with a classic Tuscan theme and our colors are bronze and blush.

I absolutely LOVE the seating chart ideas Future Mrs. M and Mrs. D!

Is it weird to have a seating chart and escort cards? My venue wants to have everyone's entree indicated at their place setting as well.

Beautiful paper products, Kendra! I'm coordinating my invitations, programs, menus, escort cards (however I end up deciding to do them!), and table numbers as well. It's taking a ton of time but I think it looks fabulous!

We are having candy apples for favors with the escort cards attached. We also need to indicate the entree selection for the dining room staff, so we will ask our guests (via signage) to put the apple at their place setting...we will indicate the entree with color coded rhinestones on the escort card...

Those cards are incredibly hard to find and people usually mess up the order fairly quickly. Im not doing that because I've been to weddings where i witnessed this first hand. This is what I'll be using:

Thanks Stacee! =) I was worried about the escort cards but I'm pretty sure we are going to do them alphabetically and we are going to have a hostess to help people find their seats as well. We are doing a candlelight theme with our colors navy, grey, white, and pops of green... I saw it on pinterest and instantly fell in love and feel like it will go well with the theme.
