Wedding Knots Tied is a wedding officiant service based in Nags Head, North Carolina.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding celebration! Your wedding is a big deal, and choosing the right officiant is important. I am non-denominational, and I am LGBT-friendly. I am delighted to perform services for any happy couple for a wedding, elopement, vow renewal or commitment ceremony. Your celebration doesn’t have to be a huge event. Whether it’s just the two of you and your witnesses, or even a small group of friends, eloping is a beautiful and very intimate way to say, “I do,” to each other. There’s less planning involved and much less stress. And with less planning, there’s more time to have fun here on these beautiful OBX beaches!

I am available year-round, on any day of the week, in the Manteo, Wanchese, Nags Head and Coquina Beach areas of the Outer Banks. Come on down to the sand, and let’s get your Wedding Knots Tied!

Elope to OBX

Wonderful experience with Rev. Melody

Melody was an amazing officiant! She was easygoing, understanding, and truly collaborative in helping us create the perfect ceremony. She took the time to listen and made the whole process feel smooth and personal.

An officiant to the rescue!

A month before our wedding, our officiant backed out. We reached out to Melody and she fit us in between two other scheduled weddings! She’s a true hero!

Her ceremony was able to personalized to us and was so beautifully written we both (my now husband and I) were in tears! Melody was able to include my daughter in the ceremony as a joining of our family in a unique way.

We are so lucky to have had her do our ceremony, and honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Dreams come true

Rev Melody was amazing through our entire experience. She was always quick to respond whenever we had a question, no matter how large or small. She was incredibly helpful with all the details and so very pleasant. She kept things on schedule and made sure our ceremony had a mixture of laughs and emotions. So very happy we found her and selected her to be our officiant. Thank you!

A Ceremony to Remember

We first met Rev. Melody at the OBX Wedding Expo. She was kind, caring, and in just a few minutes of chatting we felt like we had known her forever. Rev. Melody was always so responsive to any emails we sent her and she always made us feel calm and at ease. Rev. Melody's ceremony was beautiful and included perfect details that tied our OBX wedding together. We cannot say enough how grateful we are to have met such a wonderful person who helped make our sweetest day one to remember.

We are so happy we chose Melody!

Melody was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. When we first reached out to her, she answered us within hours. Her communication throughout the entire process was speedy and super helpful. We hired Melody to preside over our sunrise vow renewal and she helped us plan the ceremony. The service she created was beautiful. It’s obvious that she loves her job. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an officiant who will go the extra mile.

Beautiful Ceremony

After deciding to get married on the Outer Banks we began reaching out to officiants for availability. Rev. Melody was the only one to respond and her response was within the hour of our initial information request. Rev. Melody is a beautiful person inside and out. She put together the perfect ceremony for my husband and I. She was always available when we had questions. (We booked before the pandemic and kept in contact during shut downs.) She guided us through the entire process and gave us recommendations on other services. We highly recommend Rev. Melody if you are looking for a wedding officiant. You will not be disappointed.

A true angel!

Melody went above and beyond for our wedding day! We are from PA but she made us a priority to make sure we were at ease and that she had everything handled for us. All we literally had to do on e we got to NC was go get the marriage license which she even provided the website so we could go online to apply to speed up that process. The ceremony she wrote was so heart felt and made us cry (even our adult children) ! She knew I wanted them included into the ceremony as well and her wonderful heartfelt words could not have been more spot on. To anyone looking you can not go wrong with Melody this is truly her calling and it speaks volumes thru her work. Thank you Melody for being a part of our very special day and making it just absolutely perfect!!!

Great Officiant

Melody was so great! She came to the rehearsal and was so kind and nice. We ran through everything twice. The wedding ceremony was wonderful. She made a beautiful script and let us also add our flair into the ceremony as well! I would definitely recommend her!
