  An officiant to the rescue!

  A month before our wedding, our officiant backed out. We reached out to Melody and she fit us in between two other scheduled weddings! She’s a true hero!
  
  Her ceremony was able to personalized to us and was so beautifully written we both (my now husband and I) were in tears! Melody was able to include my daughter in the ceremony as a joining of our family in a unique way.
  
  We are so lucky to have had her do our ceremony, and honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

  Melody was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. When we first reached out to her, she answered us within hours. Her communication throughout the entire process was speedy and super helpful. We hired Melody to preside over our sunrise vow renewal and she helped us plan the ceremony. The service she created was beautiful. It’s obvious that she loves her job. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an officiant who will go the extra mile.

  Dreams come true

  Rev Melody was amazing through our entire experience. She was always quick to respond whenever we had a question, no matter how large or small. She was incredibly helpful with all the details and so very pleasant. She kept things on schedule and made sure our ceremony had a mixture of laughs and emotions. So very happy we found her and selected her to be our officiant. Thank you!

  A Ceremony to Remember

  We first met Rev. Melody at the OBX Wedding Expo. She was kind, caring, and in just a few minutes of chatting we felt like we had known her forever. Rev. Melody was always so responsive to any emails we sent her and she always made us feel calm and at ease. Rev. Melody's ceremony was beautiful and included perfect details that tied our OBX wedding together. We cannot say enough how grateful we are to have met such a wonderful person who helped make our sweetest day one to remember.

  Beautiful Ceremony

  After deciding to get married on the Outer Banks we began reaching out to officiants for availability. Rev. Melody was the only one to respond and her response was within the hour of our initial information request. Rev. Melody is a beautiful person inside and out. She put together the perfect ceremony for my husband and I. She was always available when we had questions. (We booked before the pandemic and kept in contact during shut downs.) She guided us through the entire process and gave us recommendations on other services. We highly recommend Rev. Melody if you are looking for a wedding officiant. You will not be disappointed.

  Loved Our Moonlight Vows

  Melody was very professional and kind, and prompt to reply or contact us. We told her what we were planning for our ceremony and what kind of speech and vows we would like, and she composed a beautiful ceremony for us that fit us perfectly!

  A true angel!

  Melody went above and beyond for our wedding day! We are from PA but she made us a priority to make sure we were at ease and that she had everything handled for us. All we literally had to do on e we got to NC was go get the marriage license which she even provided the website so we could go online to apply to speed up that process. The ceremony she wrote was so heart felt and made us cry (even our adult children) ! She knew I wanted them included into the ceremony as well and her wonderful heartfelt words could not have been more spot on. To anyone looking you can not go wrong with Melody this is truly her calling and it speaks volumes thru her work. Thank you Melody for being a part of our very special day and making it just absolutely perfect!!!

  Great Officiant

  Melody was so great! She came to the rehearsal and was so kind and nice. We ran through everything twice. The wedding ceremony was wonderful. She made a beautiful script and let us also add our flair into the ceremony as well! I would definitely recommend her!

  Incredible Officiant

  Melody wrote a beautiful ceremony that we will cherish. It was personal and sweet. We did not write our own vows and she captured perfectly how we feel about one another. She included my son in the ceremony and recognized the formation of a new family. I cannot thank her enough for the personal touches, her kindness, and thoughtfulness.

  Melody was awesome, with me not being from North Carolina she stayed in contact with me in regards to what was going to happen the day of. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for someone that goes out of there way to make sure that your day is what you want. Thank you

  Melody was wonderful to work with she came to the rehearsal, (after driving up from North Carolina) and helped us decide on photos in the ceremony room and around the castle she really took the time to get to know our style and my vision. She was wonderful!

  Beautiful ceremony

  We loved Melody from the second we met her and knew instantly she would write the perfect ceremony for us. She is so warm and has a beautiful soul. She has a gift for capturing a couple's love. We felt like she truly understood exactly what we were going for in our ceremony (spiritual, connected to nature, non-denominational). She went home and wrote our ceremony the next day and I was in tears reading it! I only had a couple very small changes. It was far better than anything I could've come up with myself and captured our love and what we wanted beyond perfectly. I couldn't believe how "us" it was after meeting us only once. The words were so beautiful and I want to have them framed forever. We also incorporated a beautiful sand ceremony. The only thing I would have changed was that on our very windy wedding day, she didn't have a microphone available so the guests in the back couldn't hear the beautiful words. Since she doesn't have a microphone available as part of her package, if you are getting married outside somewhere that could be windy, I would highly recommend securing a mic before the big day! Other than that, everything was so wonderful! Apologies this review came so late :) Thank you for make our big day so special, Melody! - Marissa & Jeff (10.28.22)
