During our planning stages, Alan worked with us to craft a custom ceremony that matched our personalities. He guided us as we compiled the various steps and consulted as we worked to integrate our cultural backgrounds. Guests, often focusing on florals and other aesthetic elements of the wedding, raved about Alan and how beautiful the ceremony was.

My husband and I were the first LGBT couple married at Trinity Church in Newport, RI and Alan was our officiant. We met with Alan several times before the wedding, by video conference since we live far away, and in person. Through the course of our sessions we of course learned more about Alan, and him us - but we also learned how to be better partners to each other. More than an officiant, Alan became an advisor and a friend.
