I wish there was more space here to write about how much my entire wedding loved Karl. We brought Karl down from IL to our destination wedding in Hilton Head, SC. We wanted to have the photographs capture the entire weekend, not just the one day, so Karl was with us Friday for our technical ceremony (long story), that night before we went to the joint bachelor/bachelorette party, Saturday for the rehearsal and the luncheon, Sunday for the big day then Monday for a post-wedding session down on the beach.Sent on 08/15/2012
To say Karl was perfect is an understatement. I love Karl's relaxed, roll with the punches personality. He never forced us to pose or to do certain things, he just let us do what we do with our friends and family and captured those moments in their natural state. One of the best things about Karl's approach to wedding photography is that you won't come out looking overly airbrushed and with an unnatural glow under dim reception lighting. Karl made everyone look as they are (with a few touch-ups of course), and that is why everyone loved him. There is not a single person that wasn't raving about how much they loved Karl, Shawn and Travis (videographers).
Actually, our favorite time with Karl was the post-wedding shot. Sure, the wedding shots were great, but it was storming like a hurricane outside and there was a fire at the gate due to lightning, so we had limited indoor space for pictures. The next day we were at the beach in full wedding attire, running through the water, playing in the sand and yes, my husband jumped into the ocean in his full tuxedo. Best moment of the vacation, hands down, and Karl got every moment while standing in his clothes in the middle of the ocean, laughing at my husband floating in the water in a tuxedo next to surfers. At the end of the most perfect photo session imaginable, we all had a shot of tequila and hugged it out. I have all the confidence in the world in Karl, and so should you.
