Rocklands Farm & Winery is a rustic and sophisticated wedding venue in Poolesville, Maryland, where couples and their loved ones can join together to make endless memories. This breathtaking 1870s Italianate-style location sits on 34 acres of beautiful landscape and offers floral gardens, a vineyard, an orchard, and many more historic buildings and sites. The nation's capital of Washington, DC, lies 20 minutes from Rocklands, making it easy for out-of-town guests and long-distance travelers to reach this stunning destination.
Facilities and Capacity
Rocklands Farm & Winery provides several dreamy outdoor wedding ceremony spaces, including the historic garden area, the Corncrib, and the popular Silo Sundown area under the bistro lights. Each venue can accommodate up to 200 guests for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and a large tent can be set up should couples wish to celebrate their reception outdoors. Alternatively, the largest indoor event space, The Bank Barn, has a capacity of up to 130 seated and features lofted ceilings, a spacious dance floor, and incredible panoramic views of the vineyard. The barn and the tent may also be combined for a more lavish, grandiose wedding get-together.

Perfect in every way
Honestly, it was perfect! When we had to completely reinvent our son’s wedding due to covid, Janis at Rocklands and the whole Simply Fresh events team came to our rescue.
From our first contact with Janis through to packing up the car, our experience was made as stress free as humanly possible.
We received so many comments about the beautiful setting (everyone local is planning a return visit), the parasols grandmas carried (great thought Janis), the beautiful set up of the tables and barn, and the food! Our guests couldn’t stop raving. One guest said “there is always at least one thing that isn’t that great, not this time! It was all fantastic”.
The entire staff could not have been lovelier. And given that we had to do this all so quickly, you all helped make this experience a joy, even given the insane circumstances. Truly, it was perfect.

What a beautiful setting for a wedding reception or any sort of event where you want to impress your guests. The venue staff were wonderful and we can't wait to go back again!
Rocklands Farm is perfect for the couple looking for a beautiful vineyard setting only thirty minutes from Washington DC. There are several spaces on the Farm and Winery available so that each couple can personalize their wedding. They can get married in the grass yard as the sunsets over the fields, or in the barn for a more intimate feel. There are amazing spaces for pictures by the vineyard, creek, one-lane bridge or by the historic home. One of the best parts of having a wedding at Rocklands is it's staff. Janis, the owner, loves helping each couple to make the farm their own for the wedding day. She has an incredible inventory of props available for couples to use to decorate. You get a lot more than just a space at Rocklands, you get a beautiful setting, experienced staff, and many decor options. It is always a wonderful experience when I get to work with Rocklands!
Rocklands Farm is a gorgeous wedding venue in the heart of the Ag Reserve! It's a family run farm and vineyard and they are all delightful to work with. Any bride looking for a country wedding venue would be lucky to have her wedding there!!
