I can't even begin to express how amazing Aimee is. When I started planning our wedding last fall, I knew I needed a day-of coordinator but wasn't expecting too much because previous weddings I've been to. After my first phone call with Aimee, I knew A. Griffin Events would exceed our expectations. She provided so many useful planning and organizing materials to help make sure I got everything done that I needed to. She was available as much as I needed, throughout our entire planning process and really was my emotional support when we had to make the difficult decision of cancelling or postponing our wedding. I wouldn't have been able to handle the pandemic and wedding planning without her and for that I am forever grateful!
We ended up rescheduling our wedding and downsizing in a major way. Aimee helped turn this new plan we had into an outdoor dream. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. Aimee and Veronica handled every single detail starting from the early morning until the bar closed down. One thing that all of the previous reviews have in common is that Aimee turns into a friend when you work with her and not working with her is probably the saddest part about our wedding being over! I wish I could give more stars to emphasize how amazing she is!!

Our wedding was astonishing. Legitimately awe inspiring. We still can’t believe it was real. If not for A. Griffin Events it never could have been. Not even close. I cannot recommend or praise them highly enough. Working with them was such a dream.

We had chemistry with Aimee from the first call. It was like talking to your best friend. She invited us to dinner to meet with her and her lease designer, Jorian.

We had already talked to nearly a dozen event planners and weren’t excited about any. When we met with Aimee and Jorian we knew right away. We intended to take some time to consider our options, but we were so excited to work with them that we barely made it back to our car before calling to confirm. It was such an easy decision.

They took care of EVERYTHING. We were able to let go of our stress, relax, and actually enjoy the experience. They were so understanding and patient, creative, thorough and well organized. Positively wonderful throughout the whole process. Everything was always well under control.

They’re a joy to be around and we looked forward to the next time we’d see them (which was often). They were right there with us, every step of the way. It was such a comfort and made all the difference in the world. We never felt lost or overwhelmed.

They were committed to getting to know us and understanding what it was we really wanted, even when we didn’t. Their instincts were spot on. Every facet ended up being the perfect fit.

We didn’t make things easy and with any other event planners it would have been a nightmare for everyone involved. We were hard to please, had extremely (even unreasonably) high expectations and were the worst procrastinators. But, it never even phased them. They never missed a step and were never anything but the delightful, calming, uplifting, and enjoyable presence they had been from the start. They went to the ends of the earth to make even our most unrealistic, and impossible dreams a reality. Even those beyond our wildest expectations.

One such example (of which there are many); while touring the perfect venue (high had been hand picked by either Aimee or Jorian or both), I mentioned how “in a perfect world” I could picture our favorite band playing over the dance floor from a stage above the bar. I riffed about how maybe they would play that song of theirs that is also ‘our song‘ while we danced our first dance below.

I continued to talk Jorian’s ear off. Carried away and indulging the hypothetical, I went on to describe how I envisioned the rest of the performance. How they’d kick the party into high gear by playing that song everybody knows from that movie everyone loves.

It wasn’t realistic but it was fun to think about.

A few days later we get a call. They pulled some strings and somehow found a way to reach the band’s management. Jorian made such a strong case that she convinced them to take the idea to the band.

Whatever it was that she said, it worked. Not only were they interested, they were excited about idea. I couldn’t believe it. 

From there they navigated all the details and complexities necessary to pull something like that off. Bonafide rockstars playing a private concert at a wedding in the grand lobby of a landmark DC theatre. They pulled it off without a hitch, and that memory is just one of many from that day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. It truly was the experience of a lifetime and we owe it all to A. Griffin Events.

We found A Griffin through Wedding Wire and after a 30 minute call, we knew Aimee and Jorian would be the folks we trusted with our wedding. As we had an interfaith wedding with two ceremonies in one day and needed a team that could handle two weddings in one day. Throughout the process, we checked in with them via phone or email and they walked us through our questions, concerns, and really guided us through items we would've never thought about.

Additionally, we used A Griffin to source other vendors and they walked us through the vendor hiring process and helped us ask the right questions. We really appreciated this because our vendor teams were one of the best parts of the wedding.

As we did the final walk through, Aimee and Jorian came prepared with all the documents and got the vendors to understand our vision. This really helped us feel comfortable as we got closer to the wedding. Additionally, we needed party rentals at the very last minute and Aimee and Jorian provided us with options and helped us close out last minute loops.

The day of the wedding, Aimee was the main POC for the HIndu Ceremony and it was flawless. The evening was handled mainly by Jorian and my big Indian family could not stop talking about how amazing this team was!!!

We loved working with Jorian and decided to work with the A Griffin Events team after talking on the phone and confirming a few of our bigger wishes from a planner - 1. Had great vendor recommendations based on our style and preferences 2. Flexible with the amount and timing of our meetings (I travel for work and needed the flexibility) 3. All month of/day of coordination. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

We loved that she kept us on track and helped us prioritize tasks. In addition, she always brought up great pointers we never would have thought of and was an amazing sounding board whenever we had questions.

She really shined on our wedding day, keeping us calm, relaxed, and ahead of schedule. My wedding party loved working with her too and complimented how she kept everything running smoothly with a positive attitude.

Hiring A. Griffin Events was hands down the best choice my husband and I could have made. From the very beginning...I mean very beginning (I hired Aimee and Jorian less than one week after we got engaged!) they made the process easy and low stress. I had one phone interview with them and knew it was a perfect match.

We were lucky enough to have them with us for our entire planning process. From venue visits, photographer interviews, to cost comparisons on hair and make up artists. They really went above and beyond. As a person who had trouble deciding on things it wasn’t great to have them. They never put pressure on me to make a choice just to make one, they truly wanted me to be happy and make the best decision for myself and my husband. Jorian also went with me to every dress fitting which to be honest was really above and beyond. She knew my mother lived 3,000 miles away and was willing to give me that support.

But by far the best part of hiring them was not all the spread sheets and phone calls they made for us...it was the friendship we built along the way. We love Aimee and Jorian so much! ❤️

There are no words to describe how amazing Aimee and her team are. We hired A. Griffin Events to provide month of coordinating services for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions that we made. From our first call with Aimee, Rachel, and Jorian, we knew that they were the people we wanted to help out with our big day. They were so patient, understanding, and kind, and I felt like I was talking with old friends on our first call rather than complete strangers!! We worked mostly with Rachel, the month of coordinating specialist, and she was always there to answer questions or help out with anything we needed. She was very thorough and detailed, and included Aimee and Jorian on every detail of the big day. Even though we had hired the team for just month of coordinating services, we felt like we had hired a full wedding planner! They were always available when we had a question, or needed recommendations, or even when I was feeling stressed out they were a comforting and familiar voice. The month prior to the wedding, all of the planning was taken out of my hands and Rachel took full lead on any and all communications with our vendors. Any bride knows that there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes of a wedding besides just the logistical things (like family and random little things!) so it was such a relief to have that taken off our hands. By the time the wedding day came around, we felt so relaxed and comfortable. And honestly, everything could not have gone more perfectly!!! Rachel, Aimee, and Jorian did not miss a beat throughout the whole day, and never at any point of the day did we or our parents feel stressed. We received so many compliments from our wedding guests about how perfect everything seemed to be, and it truly was perfect in every way! We could not have been any happier with A. Griffin Events; our wedding would not have been possible without their support. What truly sets this team apart is that besides their superb and outstanding attention to detail, they are amazing listeners and work hard to get to know you as people and as friends. Hiring Aimee and A. Griffin Events was hands down the best decision we made while planning my daughter’s recent wedding. We met with Aimee on the advice of a friend just to get a few pointers about wedding planning. We believed we could do it on our own, but after about 5 minutes of meeting with Aimee we knew we were in way over our heads and hired her on the spot! She is extremely organized, very knowledgeable, unbelievably creative, listens thoughtfully, and guided us gently to create the wedding of my daughter’s (and son-in-law's) dreams! Our budget was always considered which I appreciated, and my frequent questions were always answered very quickly and thoroughly. I know ours was not the only wedding she was working on at the time, but somehow she makes you feel like you are her only client. Her goal was always to take the stress out of the planning process so we all could enjoy every minute of the planning and of course the wedding. And we really did! The wedding was perfect and stress free in every single way and we are still receiving cards from guests thanking us that they were included in this amazing day! But perhaps the best thing about Aimee, Jorian, and team is their true friendship which developed very quickly and which I will treasure always. I am so thankful we found Aimee, and I cannot recommend her and her amazing team highly enough!

Aimee Griffin and her team created a fantastic wedding experience for my family and friends during two separate celebrations. Even though I live in London, she was always able to find the time to chat with me by Skype or email to answer my questions. She helped me develop my vision for a destination wedding and planned every detail of it with me. Aimee is highly organized and efficient. She created a website for me that enabled my guests from all over the world to make their travel plans to Italy and keep up to date with the events of the wedding weekend in Amalfi. Aimee took the stress out of communicating with the vendors we used both in the States and in Italy. She helped not only secure quotes and contracts, but did the walk-throughs, checked in with each vendor multiple times on the wedding day, and made adjustments in the moment. She is creative, a quick problem-solver, and didn’t get ruffled when last minute changes had to be made for my reception due to rain. Aimee has an eye for wedding design and décor, and will provide an honest opinion about what elements work with different wedding themes and venues. She is patient, and understands the stress a bride faces with so many decisions to make. I highly recommend her as a wedding planner and event coordinator.
