I used Peter Field to alter my wedding dress, and they were perfect. Ben was super responsive, they did a great job, and their pricing was reasonable. (Much, MUCH cheaper than the bridal shops - I paid a quarter of what the other places quoted me.) They sewed cups into my dress and added the bustle to the back for me - and it looked exactly like I wanted it to! I will definitely be going back to Peter Field for more alterations in the future.

I went to Peter Field to get my BHLDN wedding dress altered, at the recommendation of BHLDN. The alterations were very minimal - just shortening the straps and potentially adding in some cups, and trimming some extra mesh off the back. To start with the pro's - they were quick to fit me in for an appt, the staff were friendly/nice, and after a disastrous fitting, they reimbursed me for the parking ticket I accrued. The con's though were pretty major - the actual alterations on my straps were uneven and looked pretty terrible. One side was pulled up much too far, thus pulling up the "v" of my dress and causing the illusion mesh in the back to dig into my arm. Because they ship their dresses off-site to be altered, there wasn't anyone available on-site to let it out or fix the strap. It was a disaster, but luckily my grandmother sewed some fabric on the armhole to prevent chafing pain on my wedding day. The staff were very apologetic about all of the issues and I think it was more of a seamstress issue, but I wouldn't recommend going here for your wedding dress.
