Based in Philadelphia, PA, we specialize in customized, music-focused events for couples who want their wedding to feel like them. Originally founded by seasoned DJ Kim Alexander, No Macarena DJ is now led by Sarah and Chris Brandt along with a team of experienced, knowledgeable, musically obsessed DJs. From indie favorites and throwbacks to packed-dance-floor classics, we help turn your request list into your best night ever.

About No Macarena:
Founder Kim started No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service 26 years ago as an alternative to the huge line dance craze of the time. A professional DJ with a long career, she honed her skills at Philadelphia’s WXPN, home of the World Cafe. There, she went from DJ to Program Director. Kim’s goal is to provide every event with impeccable personalized DJ services, free of any corny gimmicks or annoying banter. The No Macarena team make it all about the music and strive to keep the dance floor full all night long. The No Macarena DJs will assist you in crafting the perfect playlist for your one-of-a-kind occasion with quality, professional DJ audio to ensure that every moment sounds incredible.

Andres was incredibly proactive throughout the entire process, always setting up meetings, checking in, and making himself available whenever we had questions or wanted to chat through ideas. He made the entire planning process feel easy and stress free.
We also had Raphael on saxophone, and he was absolutely amazing. He brought such an incredible energy to the night and elevated the entire atmosphere. The combination of Andres and Raphael together kept the dance floor packed all night.
The music was one of the highlights of our wedding, and days later people are still talking about how great everything was. Andres truly helped make our wedding unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. Your event will absolutely benefit from having them involved!

"No Macarena" DJ & Custom Music Service is the best in the business. While other DJs play a canned playlist that's the same at every wedding (I should know, since I shoot one nearly every weekend,) No Macarena's set list is completely custom, and completely planned by you. This gives every party that No Macarena hosts it's own uniquely crafted identity, which is a great thing to say about a DJ. Not only that, their hosts are unobtrusive yet remain "in charge" during those key moments when the party needs some structure. Highly recommended!!!
