Civana was the most perfect place to host our wedding. We honestly wouldn't have changed one thing! All of our guests that stayed at the hotel during our wedding weekend, are all planning on coming back to Civana for vacations! The food was delicious. Roxanne was the best coordinator, and was always available to answer all of my questions. The day of our wedding went super smoothly, and the extra suite provided for the bridal party to get ready in, was a delightful surprise!Sent on 06/10/2019

I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding ceremony and reception at CIVANA Carefree on December 29, 2018. CIVANA Carefree took over an existing property earlier in the year and underwent a major renovation. The renovation transformed a dated conference hotel to a gorgeous wellness resort and spa. The newly opened facilities feature a neutral, modern palate with southwestern undertones, setting the perfect backdrop to the resort’s focus on holistic wellness. The space is warm, inviting, and reflective of the tranquil desert landscape in which it is located.Sent on 01/21/2019
We started wedding planning in late August 2018, giving us just four months to plan our 100-person event. My then-fiancé and I were out of the country on a military deployment when we decided to get married over the holidays. In my absence, my parents met with Curt Moroney, Director of Sales, to visit the property. After that initial meeting, my parents were confident they had found the perfect venue to host my special day. Their feelings proved to be well founded, and all of our expectations were absolutely achieved. From start to finish CIVANA’s staff was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating. In particular, Roxanne Spinelli, the Catering Sales Manager, was a wonderful partner as we worked to create the perfect event.
The rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all occurred without a hitch and we heard nothing but kudos from our friends and family. Roxanne and Chef Justin Cline Macy worked with us to develop a southwestern-inspired menu that perfectly suited to the venue. Just as I had hoped, the food was both incredibly tasty and generally healthy (within reason for a special event, of course!). Attendees are still commenting that they’ve never experienced such fantastic food at a wedding. The rehearsal dinner, held in the private dining area of the Terras Restaurant, was similarly impressive.
We held the ceremony and cocktail hour on the yoga lawn, which served as a picture-perfect backdrop to the start of our new life together. Roxanne was right there to orchestrate the ceremony and even fixed my train before I walked down the aisle. The reception was held in the Mesquite Room, a freshly renovated space with calming grey walls and large picture windows. The space felt intimate and perfectly accommodated our guests. CIVANA’s staff set-up the room to my exacting specifications (even down to the lighting), and Roxanne checked in with me several times throughout the evening to see all was well. The servers made sure that my husband and I were well fed and even helped prepare my plate so I didn’t spill on my gown!
Both before and during the event, I felt entirely confident about the decision to host my wedding at CIVANA. I highly recommend CIVANA Carefree for a truly memorable and well-organized event. We are deeply grateful to Roxanne, Curt, Chef Justin, and the entire team for working so hard to translate my vision into reality. I could not have asked for anything more. My husband and I have already said that we’d like to return each year on our anniversary to remember the incredibly special experience we had at CIVANA Carefree.
