We signed with WeKoPa about 8 months before our wedding and we are so glad we did. We worked with 3 different coordinators due to change in staff but going from one to the other was pretty smooth. What made it easy was having the friendly staff there to help us with showing the spaces we will be using for events, our vendors will use for storage and spaces we will use for extra meals, as well as seeing the really nice resort and rooms.
This place truly has it all for a local wedding and even destination wedding. From the clean rooms, big pool, restaurant on site, relaxing lobby, friendly hotel and banquet staff, huge event space (up to 18000 sf), high ceilings, nice lighting, outdoor patio for cocktail hour, huge outdoor space for wedding procession (baraat), free parking, beautiful outdoor space for ceremony on golf course, gorgeous views for pictures, far from the city so it feels like true Arizona, and just overall comfort. Our guests traveled from local, to the states and internationally and they all had positive things to say about their stay and experience at our wedding events over a full weekend. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great wedding experience.

The Radisson Fort Mcdowell was an amazing location for our wedding. We got married at Fountain Park only a few miles away. Our reception was at Radisson Fort Mcdowell so all of our guests stayed there. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice for our big day. We were a little nervous at first since we had found the site online but right when we arrived and met Sarah we were at ease. She was soooo welcoming. She went over every detail with us to make sure it would go just they we wanted it to. After talking with her a few minutes we knew we could quit stressing. Our entire stay at the Radisson was so relaxing and pleasant, thanks to Sarah, the hotel crew and the atmosphere. Upon arrival we were greeted with margaritas, beer, and food trays. There was so much to do at the resort between the pools, casinos, views, and many restaurants we never had a dull moment. The food at the Ahnala restaurant was decadent. The reception was absolutely PERFECT: from the food to the decorations. Sarah was very experienced and knew exactly how everything should go to make it an amazing night. She had answers to all of our questions and anytime we had a request she was right there to assist us. Sarah was quick to accommodate anything and everything it to make sure our special night was exactly how we had dreamed. After the reception we found our suite ready with a bottle of liquor and chocolate covered strawberries and garnished with rose pedals. We are so glad we chose the Radisson Fort Mcdowell and that Sarah was able to be apart of our big day. She will forever have a big spot in our hearts for making it such a memorable experience we will cherish for a life time.

The entire wedding, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception dinner was perfect. The venue was beautiful, the decorations were perfect and the food was fabulous!! Melissa Fischer our wedding coordinator fulfilled my every wish and the entire staff of the resort was friendly and accomodating throughout the entire event. Our rooms were great. We stayed two nights and had booked for our wedding party and ourselves. The comp Bridal Suite was beautiful; the hair dresser and makeup artist stated it was the best suite they had seen. The cost was a huge value for the quality received. I would highly recommend calling Melissa for your Wedding; no matter how small or large, she will make all your visions a reality! There is also two professional golf courses and a small Casino that we and all our guest enjoyed.

Our wedding was FLAWLESS thanks to the staff at the Radisson. We worked with Amber and Rochelle, they were the sweetest girls to work with. We mostly worked with Rochelle. She responded to emails very quickly, brought up details that we may have forgotten, and VERY flexible with how we wanted our day to be. She was on top of things, especially the day of the wedding! The entire staff was VERY courteous and very accommodating of anything that we needed. In fact, the day after our wedding our party left behind a bag of very valuable items and keepsakes from our wedding in the lobby. We contacted the hotel and for about two days they worked with the casino security (all security cameras are through the casino), went through hours of video and tracked down our bag! We never thought we would see our valuables again but thanks to the hard work and accommodating staff we have our keepsakes from our wedding.

Our ceremony was in a court yard area that overlooked the mountains. It was gorgeous at sunset! They do block off the area to the guests at the resort but they can still walk by from a distance and we had some onlookers from hotel rooms. It didn't bother us but it could be a privacy issue for others. Our wedding was in May and although the temperature was about 100 degrees, the majority of our guests were shaded by some Palo Verdes next to the grassy area. We had our cocktail hour underneath the Palo Verdes (again very shaded and beautiful with the yellow blooms) and we had them open up the lobby area so guests had a cooler place to sit.

Our reception was in the ballroom. Of course they adjust the size of the room to the amount of guests. They do provide some decor. I created my own centerpieces. Rochelle did an amazing job putting them together! Again, she was very flexible with what I wanted and was able to find a solution for anything I may have forgotten. The food was DELICIOUS! Part of the package is a cake from Robert's Catering-they make amazing cakes!!

Overall the resort is GORGEOUS! The decor and design is very dedicated and true the the natural environment of Arizona. The lobby is beautiful and a big "wow" factor for guests and the rooms are modern but have a natural flair to them. Very clean too. We liked that the resort was sort of a stay cation for our guests and they offered a reduced rate for anyone who reserved a room from our wedding.

Our money was very well spent. We couldn't have picked a better venue! This will be a wonderful place to return to on our anniversary. Fort McDowell will not let you down!!
