Red Agave was the venue for our wedding in May 2025 and it fit our needs of an 80 person destination wedding perfectly! It provided amazing southwest views with an intimate setting for our friends and family for a whole weekend and is truly one-of-a-kind.
We had about 45 guests stay on site at the studios and chalets, which are clean, modern and adorable. We were also able to receive a discounted rate at the Holiday Inn Express, which is about a 5 minute walk away. The fire pit, pool, and sitting areas made it a perfect place for everyone to mingle for the weekend even for those who weren’t staying on property. It feels a little bit like summer camp when all of your guests check in for the weekend in the best way possible.
For planning the wedding, this venue is pretty bare-bones, which means the world is your oyster. We had a traditional ceremony, followed by cocktail hour, and seated dinner with a buffet. We rented all our our tables and chairs from Verve Rentals and Tents, who provided everything we needed with set up and take down. For the rest of the weekend, we had a welcome party with a taco bar around the pool and a farewell brunch (pastries and fruit from Safeway) and were able to host in the space provided. The courtyard is very versatile and provides a stunning backdrop for every event. An awesome bonus is the trailhead leaving from the back of the property -- our guests found it to be an easy way to go on a hike without driving and it provided breathtaking views for our wedding portraits.
The staff at Red Agave is very helpful and friendly. All of our guests commented on how friendly everyone was and enjoyed having conversations with everyone at the front desk (thanks Trish and Heather!). We used Stephanie as our all-in-one coordinator who was in touch with us through the process, answering all of our questions (we had a bunch since we were planning from far away!!). During the wedding, they were very professional and courteous and a blast to work with!
If you are getting married here we highly recommend using the coordinator package! They were all so helpful the day of with setting up and taking down (they set all of our tables up, put out decorations, met with vendors, etc). Also highly recommend using the preferred vendors on the list -- this is a shameless plug for Wil’s Grill’s catering who provided the absolute best food and service for the whole weekend!!! We can’t wait to come back to celebrate an anniversary here one day!

If you’re looking for a place to have your friends and family stay with you for the whole weekend, have unobstructed views of Bell Rock and other Sedona monuments, and have full freedom to pick any vendors you want, this is the place for you. We had our bachelor party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and after party all in one place.

An affordable fee for venue rental. A real deal if you get all your guests to stay with you. There were minor challenges; the wedding team changed leadership halfway through which caused some miscommunication, you have to be below 75decibels for sound but it’s more than enough, and the amenities such as pool and fireplace shut down at 10pm. The staff were kind, understanding, and flexible with our needs. The chalets and studios are up to date, hot water does run out quickly though.

A plus, most vendors in Sedona-area and the valley are familiar with the nuances of this venue which greatly helps with planning and set up.

Lastly, you truly will have an unforgettable time here. Our guests keep echoing these same sentiments, “the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to” was among this.

If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue with red rock views, look no further than Red Agave! The views we had during our ceremony and reception couldn't be beat! The venue even lines up to a hiking trail which was such a unique perk. I can't say enough positive things about the staff, so easy to work with and so accommodating on every request! We brought our dog and the whole space is very dog friendly. The chalets and rooms are so spacious! The grounds of the venue are very well kept with landscaping and unique touches like fountains and statues. Highly recommend this venue if you are looking for an outdoor space that is quintessentially Sedona. We can't wait to come back to Red agave, so many wonderful memories were created here!

We first reached out to Red Agave Resort in December of 2020 to book our wedding for April of 2022, and we had the pleasure of working with them for over a year. Let me tell you...the team at Red Agave is incomparable! They have the absolute sweetest, most hard-working, attentive staff who made us feel so special and loved from beginning to end. And even now we are still in communication with them because we miss them so much. Our dream wedding became a reality thanks to this gorgeous desert venue that has absolutely everything you need and more for an EPIC wedding weekend. We booked out the entire resort for the weekend, and it was so fun to see our family and friends everywhere we looked. Whether they were swimming and hot tubbing, hiking, or hanging out in the courtyard, our group had a fantastic time and they tell us all the time how much they loved it. We hired Chelsea as our Wedding Coordinator and I know for a fact our day would not have gone as perfectly as it did without her. Chelsea worked so so hard to make sure everything went smoothly and that myself, my husband and our guests always had everything we needed. Red Agave just started an All in One Package for weddings, which includes discounted rates for their preferred wedding vendors. Thanks to this package we were able to have Chelsea as our Coordinator, as well as Wil's Grill (best caterer) and Verve Events & Tents (best rentals) as part of our wedding team. Chelsea coordinated our vendors so well, ensured all the fine details we had discussed went according to plan, and helped resolve any issues that came up immediately. She was there for us every step of the way and we are forever grateful for Chelsea. She always had the best can-do attitude and she HUSTLED during our entire wedding weekend. There is no other Wedding Coordinator like Chelsea! I mean who else would ensure everything goes perfectly AND still make it on to the dance floor to dance with her bride and groom for a song? Do yourself a favor and hire Chelsea as your Wedding Coordinator and Red Agave Resort as your wedding venue. You will have an unforgettable wedding that your guests will be talking about for years to come. Our friends and family are already talking about doing a reunion trip! We could not be more thankful for Chelsea, Trish, Katherine, Allison and the rest of the Red Agave team. I will be dreaming about our wedding forever! We can't wait to return for years to come. This is an amazing venue where you can make your wedding really how you want it to be. The views cannot be beat. This venue allowed us to have an intimate experience with our family and friends for multiple days.

My husband and I knew we wanted to get married in Sedona and after a trip out to the area to check out wedding venues we still had not found what we were looking for. We heard about Red Agave, so we made a trip up there to check out the resort. We put our deposit down that day! We cannot rave about this place enough; it is such a gem! We absolutely love the stunning views and the peaceful setting. Plus, they allow pups, which was an absolute essential for us! We were so excited to be able to have all of our friends and family stay at the resort with us at an affordable rate and spend our evenings gathered around the fire pit making s’mores. The amenities within the chalets and studios are amazing and come with everything you need to grill on the BBQ or cook your meals on the stovetop. The staff is always so kind, and Trish was super responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process, which was especially helpful after COVID hit. We weren’t able to have our wedding celebration, but my husband and I did travel to the resort to elope. Trish helped us find the perfect elopement site off of their private hiking and biking trail entrance and was available for any concerns that we had. We hope to be able to return to Red Agave with our family and friends to celebrate as originally planned!
