Our experience with Chantilly Chic was phenomenal. We went into the process wary about hiring a planner, but Melanie convinced us in our first conversation. We chose the 8-week package, but she made recommendations for vendors and checked in with us throughout the process, to make sure we were on track. Crystal, our day-of coordinator, was a delight. Eight weeks out, she took over as point of contact, and made sure vendors were staying on track. The day of the event, she made sure everything ran smoothly, and she handled all the last-minute changes that came up with no fuss. Sydney and Melanie made us forget there was a tropical storm outside!!
TROPICAL STORM NESTOR. Did that get your attention? It barely phased us as the bride and groom because we had Sydney and Melanie by our side for our destination wedding in Treasure Island in October 2019.
My husband and I live in Indiana, but we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in our favorite place. We didn't have a budget, a color scheme, or a ton of time to meet with a lot of vendors to shop around. What we did have was some mood inspo photos, an idea of a "feeling" we wanted to achieve, and less than 6 months to achieve it.
We found Chantilly Chic through a recommendation of another vendor on our venue vendor list. We were so very grateful for this rec because from the very first few minutes of our first phone call with Melanie, we felt confident she was the backbone we needed to keep everything going. I feel stress so deeply that it manifests physically, and I knew I wanted to be a happy, healthy bride that felt great on my wedding day. Melanie gave me the confidence that I would be able to be exactly that for our wedding weekend with her support and her decision to assign Sydney as our lead planner. Having Melanie, who has a strong presence and direct, assertive way of approaching vendors and decisions to be made teamed with Sydney, who knew how to read our moods and in between the lines to make decisions on our behalf (mostly for me) when we were stressed or couldn't be there in person was exactly what we needed.
Their expertise and understanding of us as a couple were so crucial for us on our wedding day when a tropical storm unexpectedly hit right as we were scheduled to have our ceremony on the beach. They sprang into action with very little notice to move everything inside. We had accepted that we would be inside as a rain plan and had just rolled with whatever was going to happen with the changes because we trusted them and how they would handle all our vendors implicitly.
When we arrived at our venue, they had made a new entrance for our guests into the venue to protect them from the rain. They coordinated with our caterer to keep all of the food stations to be kept behind a false hedge wall (which was also a last minute change they arranged due to pipe and drape not fitting the lower ceiling) and had created an intimate aisle/altar so that our guests wouldn't have to sit at their tables watching us in the middle of our food stations saying our vows. Everything was so special and warm, even more than I think it would have been on the beach, because we didn't even need a mic, and everyone was so in the moment.
The event management package was perfect for us because it allowed us to make the big decisions and then two months out, Sydney and Melanie, took over to facilitate everything going smoothly and to ensure all small decisions were made too. And there are SO MANY small decisions that we wouldn't have even dreamed of but really made all the difference. Sydney asked what we wanted our cups to be filled with all night, I just didn't know how massively important that was going to be until we were in the middle of photos and she saw a look in my eyes that said I needed food and drink to re-energize.
Sydney and Melanie allowed us to be US on our wedding day and enjoy all the family that had come a great distance for our wedding weekend. We had a vacation and a celebration, instead of a job, and we'll forever be so grateful for that.Sent on 01/21/2020

We loved working with Chantilly Chic through our wedding. Sydney was so helpful during the stressful times. I can't begin to tell you how many questions she asked for items we had not even thought about. On the actual wedding day, Sydney made the process run seamlessly. I assume she fixed things that didn't go as planned, but she was so stealthy and on top of it, I never heard about any issues.
