The Birchwood is a hotel wedding venue located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Owner Chuck Prather named this venue to honor his father, who once developed a neighborhood by the same name. The venue was constructed in 1924 and has since been renovated. This modern yet notable building features a large mural of a birch forest.
Facilities and Capacity
The Birchwood offers five different indoor and uncovered outdoor event spaces that can be used for a wedding ceremony, reception, wedding shower, engagement party, and/or rehearsal dinner. Couples can host up to 200 guests at the venue. The Grand Ballroom offers 4,000 square feet of space that you can use to take your wedding above and beyond. Enjoy enchanted views of Tampa Bay, Beach Drive, and downtown St. Petersburg. The venue also has two private rooms and a garden space which is great for smaller, more intimate weddings or events. This garden is an outdoor space with beautiful shrubbery, a waterfall, and hanging lights to create a romantic mood for the wedding.

The Birchwood features a bar in their Grand Ballroom. This bar adds a touch of elegance to really impress and thrill your guests. The venue also has a full catering kitchen that serves high-quality food with great service. The typical dishes this caterer makes are made of local and organic ingredients that are cooked fresh in the kitchen. Rehearsal Dinner Venue
Not only is the Birchwood ballroom a beautiful venue but the staff is outstanding! We had our son's rehearsal dinner in the ballroom and the staff and food were fantastic! The terrace is a bonus!Sent on 04/24/2019

Dreamy & Elegant Venue
Chance & I couldn't be happier with our choice of having our wedding ceremony & reception at the Birchwood! The staff was phenomenal from beginning to end. Mary, Heather, Rebecca, and Leja were all so helpful and prompt throughout the entire process. From questions surrounding the smallest & largest details, they made sure we had everything we needed. The staff worked excellent with all of the vendors, which was really important to us as well. All meetings throughout the last year made us feel so special.. the 1st tour, welcome meeting (with champagne & charcuterie), taste testing, and the final walk through. The ballroom is so beautiful and the room flip between the ceremony & reception was so seamless. If you're in the St. Pete area, go checkout The Birchwood. It is so beautiful & elegant! My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at The Birchwood a few weeks ago. I couldn’t be happier with how perfectly things went! Heather and the rest of the Birchwood team is an absolute dream to work with. They answered all my questions quickly and made sure all my T’s were crossed and I’s dotted before my wedding day.
