Birchwood Bridal

I was so nervous to go dress shopping as a plus size bride. I hate shopping in general and certainly don't enjoy the "fashion show" element of trying things on. So when I say that I had an absolutely magical experience at Birchwood, it means expectations were totally defied! Birchwood turned something that I was dreading into a the warm, fuzzy moment every bride hopes for.
Amy welcomed my family and I into this unique and cozy space with flattering lighting (no harsh, overhead changing-room lights). I had a "Dream Appointment" which included local chocolates and champagne for me and my guests--they were SO tasty--highly recommend requesting this option! The form I filled out to make the appointment was clearly considered when she pulled gowns for me and we talked about the pictures I shared to convey the "vibe" I was going for. I felt heard, supported, and never once pressured. I found my gown here, thanks to the time and care they took to prep for my appointment--they had two gowns shipped from another location for my appointment and of course one of those was my perfect gown!
I could keep going on about why I loved my appointment and this shop, but this is already getting long :). SO happy to be a Birchwood Bride!!

My husband and I are a few months out from our covid-rescheduled wedding and after having a baby recently, my original dress was nowhere near fitting. With 3 months to go, I called Amy (the owner) in a bit of a panic. She was wonderful! She got me in for an appointment the next day, listened to all my concerns (new body, short timeline, and the expense of a new dress) and helped me find some great options that would be in on time and within my budget. We had a great time working together, and she made me feel so at ease and excited despite the stress of the situation. Her selection is wonderful, covering a good span of price points, and she has a great eye for detail. I'd recommend this shop to anyone dress-hunting in the Asheville or Raleigh area!

I had such a wonderful time wedding dress shopping at MAGGI Bridal. Lo and Amy were AWESOME! I didn't feel pressured at all and Amy patiently helped me try on every single dress I was interested in. In the end, I found my dream dress! I can't thank them enough!
