Ready to give up!!!
I am trying really hard to make my wedding beautiful. Problem is my future husband wants camo vest for him and the groomsmen. I am fine with this because it is his wedding too and I want him to be happy (not to mention thats the only thing he had an opinion on!). I really want pink bridesmaid dresses. That has been my dream for the longest time because its my favorite color. People keep suggesting browns and greens to go with the camo but I feel like the camo will barely be showing anyway since its just the vest. But now I am starting to wonder if maybe I shoule go with brown or green and just have pink as an accent color. Or beige? I dont know, I also feel like brown or green really doesnt match camo anyway. I dont think anything does. Please save the "try pink camo' comments because I am sick of that. Thats not what camo were talkign about. Its hunter camo. Has anyone else had problems like this? Just venting really but if you have any suggestions or encouragement I'd appreciate it

Hello and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

I am sorry you are so frustrated. I think you could have your pink bridesmaid dresses and maybe do chocolate brown accents. Pink and chocolate look awesome together.

If you take a look at nature, you will find that all colors go together. Try not to get too frustrated; maybe take a day or two off without doing anything wedding related and then come back to it. I know you will do fine.

I don't know what type of bridesmaid dresses you are looking at, but you may be able to do a chocolate sash or trim. The stems on the flowers will be green, so you will have each color taken care of.

you could simply give it a camo accent, the groom and groomsmen get their barely there camo vests, and so it pulls it all together (make sure the camo and the shade of pink look good together first) add a camo ribbon or belt to the dresses...

but the grey camo looks great with pink.... and itll be a lil more formal then green camo if you and talk him into it

I was also going to suggest adding a camo sash to the pink dresses. As long as you choose the right shade of pink, I think it could be really cool. To bring some more camo in, look for camo wedding accessories such as pillows, garters and baskets. You can even incorporate camo in your decorations with ribbons or fabric. We use a set of 3 cylinders with a few stones to cover the bottom, add a sunken pink rose (or just use pink crystals) and a floating candle, then wrap a piece of camo ribbon around each cylinder. This theme really could be a lot of fun! Perhaps you are having difficulty envisioning the end result because you really don't want to use the camo. Keep an open mind, get some camo & pink fabrics and make an inspiration board. Sometimes just looking at it for awhile will convince you that you do (or don't) like it after all.

You can still have pink with camo accents, you just need the right shade of pink. Maybe the bridesmaids could wear pink dresses and camo shoes/sandals? The groomsmen could have a pink pocket square and/or tie with a camo vest? I'm not sure who has camo vests though.

What about adding the right kind of camo (realtree or mossy oak?) ribbon to the bouquets? Camo is camo it doesn't need to match anything. Pinks will be fine, just think of it as pretty pink flowers in the middle of the woods. Why not use either the sagey green in the camo if you really want an accent color but I woyld go with Pink and a tiny bit of the hunting camo in ribbons for flowers or on your favors, maybe a wrap a camo ribbon around a pink candle...etc...

here's a pink and realtree wedding for you to look at..

Do the pink, the vest won't show that much.

I agree with Reyna. Pick the bridesmaids dress of your dreams or you will regret it later. The camo won't show that much and if you want the colors to tie in more closely, do it with the flowers. Try to match the camo colors with a flower or foliage in the bridesmaide's bouquet rather than trying to add camo to a pink dress. Just a suggestion :) But, I think you should definitely get the pink dresses. They look amazing in pictures.

Agreed!! Absolutely do the pink dresses and don't even worry about everything having to match! The camo on the guys will add personality to your wedding, but the pink dresses will be the show stoppers! Good luck!

I just saw a local wedding where they had camo vests as well (maybe your fiance knows the groom :o) haha) and her brides maids dresses were a sage green and it looked very nice...just a little feedback from someone who's seen the camo in action :o) Best of luck!

Perhaps a very pale pink would work to balance out the busy camo. It's the perfect combination of feminine and masculine. Besides that what marriage is all about.

Sage green, chocolate brown and any light shade of pink would be gorgeous together. Bring the colors out of the cammo without "going camo". Still a camo colored favor box would be cute.

WOW!! I actually had my FH ask me the same question, but I had to break his heart and say no..
Well I see no harm in it since it is his wedding too. The vests bearly show and depending on if your pink bridesmaids dresses go with that camo color depends on if it works out or not. Im pretty sure it will be beautiful.

I really wouldn't worry about it pink goes great with camo. Pick the dress and color you love and it will all come together.
