rain on wedding day
We are having an outdoor wedding next saturday (10/10) and the weather is calling for rain! Its still 8 days away. Should I book an indoor venue in case it does rain or wait it out? I would hate to wait until last min and not have a venue available. But dont want to book it then not need it if the rain never comes. HELP!!

The venue that you currently have doesn't have a second option in case of rain? You should always have a backup plan if you are having an outdoor wedding. Have you thought of renting a tent?

Like Secmele said, always have a backup plan. That said, you could rent tents that are big enough to protect your guests from the rain.

I would book another venue or reserve a tent just to be on the safe side. You don't want to have any regrets after your wedding day has come and gone. If it doesn't rain, great! At least you know you were prepared. Well worth the time and money to have a back-up plan instead of a potential dampered wedding day.

A tent sounds like a good idea, but I would definitely talk to your venue first. There is an upside to rainy days: the rain clouds create fabulous defused light...your wedding day photography will be great if it is cloudy.

Definitely agree with everyone. It's 8 days away which is very short notice...call your venue for a backup solution asap.(today)

Option:Get an outdoor event tent - depending on your budget and number of guests. I've seen tents that can perfectly fit within environments without hampering the theme or style.(Again discuss this with the venue you're using as they will have some great suggestions)

With that said..every problem has a solution - You'll do great?

I live in rain central
- this client of mine rented umbrellas & it made for smashing pics:

but, yes, we did have reserve a ceremony tent. We waited until 2 days before to tell them yes, put up the tent & boy did we need it. It dumped at ceremony time, but was still beautiful.
