Floral budgets can vary greatly. A good idea is to base it off your total budget. For instance if you have a $20,000 budget total than a good budget for floral would be $1100.00. But if your wedding budget is $50,000 then your floral can be $3500.00.

Your venue (indoors or outdoors), the size of your wedding party, and where your prioritys lie. If the floral decor is important to you, you may want to increase the amount of money you've allocated to that area.
If having a lovely sit down meal is more important than you might want to spend more on the catering budget. Is music and dancing high on your list? Finding a great band or a really rocking DJ could be where you want to spend your dollars. The venue could be one of the biggest items on the list so deciding where to hold the ceremony and reception is very important.
It all depends on you and what you want for your special day.

A lot depends on how many guest tables will need centerpieces and how extensive you want those centerpieces to be. Do you want the tall, full Preston Bailey style centerpieces? Or, are you happy with a simple low vase with roses? Many venues offer basic centerpieces as part of their package and those can be upgraded to something different. How many bridesmaids do you have? Each of them will need a bouquet. You get the point. The bigger the wedding, the more you will spend on your floral budget. Find a florist who does beautiful work. You won't get fabulous for cheap.
