The attention to detail and the quality of work was awesome. Prime Example is a very appropriate name for this business. They exceeded ALL of our expectations and did it with loving kindness.

There was in instant connection with Elaine in our initial meeting and our personalities meshed very well. We walked away from that meeting feeling confident that we would be well taken care of. Our instincts proved right and we couldn’t have asked for a better Wedding Planner!

Whether you need a full-service planner or only services on the day of your wedding Prime Example Events will not disappoint you. We opted for a full service package because we lived and were being married in two different states. Friends and family were amazed at how calm we seemed (outwardly!) in the planning of our destination wedding. Prime Example Events made it easy. If you’ve envisioned your wedding day down to the smallest detail, Prime Example will help you make that happen. And if you have a limited view of your wedding day, they will help you develop your vision.
They can work with any budget. You can use your own vendors or Prime Example has some great vendors to choose from. If issues arose with the vendors before, during or after our wedding, from the biggest to the smallest concern, Prime Example Events served as our representative and advocated for whatever change was needed. They were readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had and we never waited more than a day to respond (especially important for the nervous bride!). Elaine coordinated, and was present at all of the vendor meetings, and assisted us in reviewing all the vendor contracts and making sure everything was in order.
Elaine was also on hand from the rehearsal and all day of the wedding, with a timeline that ensured that everything ran smoothly. The wedding day team, Monica, Juyne, Angela and Shavon that worked alongside Elaine were fantastic. They were extremely attentive, made sure our wedding party was well taken care of and kept them and guests on time and happy. This allowed the bride and groom to relax (as much as one could on their wedding day!) and enjoy without worry.

We knew that we had chosen the right Wedding Planner when we first met Elaine, but our guests confirmed it by saying how good Prime Example Events was and how they managed our wedding day so seamlessly!

I can't believe we began the process of planning my wedding to months prior to the date and now it has come and gone. It turned out to be more than I could ever hoped for! Never in a million years would I have thought that not only was I totally ready for my wedding on my wedding day, but everything was complete 2 months prior to the date. I could have never done that without you. You kept everything on a timeline and every time I called you about a question your words to me were " I got it!" Our day turned out to be stress free and full of wonderful memories that will always bring big smiles to our faces.
Thank you for helping me from the invitations to the flowers and so on and so on! You are amazing! I would recommend you to anyone not only for a wedding but for any event.

I cannot say enough about Elaine. She was wonderful. We are so glad we decided to go ahead and hire a planner. We initially weren’t sure if we wanted to take on the extra expense (I consider myself pretty organized), but I realized that I couldn’t be everywhere the day of. How would I supervise the set up of the room, make sure the flowers were delivered, or everyone was in place? The idea of trying to supervise and get ready seemed unrealistic, so we went looking for a day-of person who could also help with vendors.

Finding Elaine was truly a blessing. She came highly recommended by a friend of mine from harvard law who said she was fantastic, made their wedding day go extra smoothly, and stayed behind the scenes (unlike some planners who attract too much attention to themselves during the event). They also got married in the duke gardens (b/c that’s where the groom’s parents were married). As a couple who initially didn’t want to spend the extra money, I have to say that we feel like Elaine’s work and presence were worth many times what we paid her. We felt this way not only because, with her help, the wedding day went perfectly and not only because everything was beautiful, but also because Elaine just went above and beyond at every opportunity. If you were to hire her for your wedding, things would go very smoothly and things would be set up just as you wanted, but also she would just be a joy to be around. I cannot tell you the number of times she calmed me about a vendor or some other wedding-related issue. I honestly cannot imagine how we would have done it without her. She brought her team and while she was at the site supervising the set-up, she made sure one of her staff members was with me making sure I had everything I need while I got ready.

Further, we were planning the wedding from out of town – we live in NYC, but I had my heart set on getting married in the Duke Gardens (I loved it there as an undergrad). The fact that we were out of town didn’t make her miss a beat. She was always easy to get in contact with and helped us figure out what needed to be done next. She really knows the venues and the vendors in the area. She helped us coordinate meetings with vendors, and sat in them with us when we came to town. I had other vendors commenting on how great it was to work with her. My family enjoyed her as well. Through this process I really have come to regard Elaine as a friend. She helped us to realize the most amazing day of our lives so far.

Elaine, the owner of Prime Example, was truly what we needed to make our day happen. I began planning my wedding 4 months prior to the date and the only thing that I really had accomplished was finding a venue. She was very professional from the beginning! She set up vendors for my husband and I to meet and she attended those meetings as well. She made sure that I was comfortable with the planning process and really helped me to bring my vision to reality on that day. We had different tastes and ideas on some concepts but she never forced her taste on us and I never felt that I had to have my wedding a certain way. Her staff on that day was friendly and accomodating. Even my guests noticed how smoothly things ran and I have received several good comments about the coordination of that day. Although Elaine was professional, she did not fulfill my needs as a bride and felt like it was going nowhere. She may have fulfilled others, but she did not fulfill mine and did not cater to my needs like i expected. Her prices were reasonable, but i guess you get what you pay for. She may be for other brides, but not for me. I will NOT ever recommend her.

Elaine was the first person to make me feel like "the bride" during the wedding planning process, which was a huge deal to me. Being a wedding professional, myself and working wedding up till the week of my wedding, meant that enjoying my own wedding process was going to be a challenge, or so I thought, not with Prime Example! Elaine and her staff made me feel like queen for the day on my wedding day, she even went the extra mile and took the violinist and his manager to the airport for me. I really appreciated her hardwork and time and attention in making me feel so special!

Elaine was a valued part of my son and new daughter-in-law's wedding in Durham. She was always there for the planning with recommendations and assistance. This was particularly appreciated as the bride and groom are both in the military and were not there in Durham. During the rehearsal and the wedding she kept things going smoothly and on time. She and her staff were fantastic.
