I heard about Shilpa through one of my coworker. When i told my coworker i was having hard time finding a makeup artist for my engagement, she immediately suggested shilpa.. She told me shilpa was very friendily, nice and above all talented. I contacted shilpa right away.. While i was searching for a makeup artist, lot of ppl suggeated doing a trial before the big day, but with my crazy schedule there was no way i could do a trial. Shilpa told me trial is recommended but not necessary. she gave me the confidence i needed. She told me all i needed to do is let her know what i want and she will do the rest. Believe me, i was still worried. So on the 'big day' she came to my place right on the dot, made me look absolutely beautiful. Shilpa is exactly what my coworker told me, talented, nice and friendly. Looking back at my pictures, Shilpa u captured exactly what i wanted. I am the type of girl, who run out the door with a lip balm and a pony tail.. so i wanted to look natural as possible. She truly did exactly as that... The pics turned out gorgeous.. Oh and i loved the way my hair looked, i would have never thought of puting it on the side. with the Tikka it looked perfect. I would recommend Shilpa to anyone in Dallas area for their special day. If u want to get what u pay for 100% then i would say choose Shilpa.

Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you! I felt so beautiful at my wedding. The make-up and hair were even better than I had imagined. My family and friends complimented it so much. You definitely achieved the "glowy" look because I heard that term left and right. One friend specifically commented on the blush and says she has never seen it look so nice and she's not loose with compliments. She wanted to know what you used and I figured it was a mix of things :) I am showing the few pics I have so far to people that weren't at the wedding and they can't even recognize me!!!

Shilpa is the best makeup artist! She makes you look like a barbie doll

Look no further if you have a wedding coming up! Since we are new to Texas, it was really difficult for us to find someone reliable for my big day, fortunately my sister came across Shilpa's work and after reading various reviews and looking through her pictures we decided to have her do my hair and make up for my engagement, as well as my wedding as well!

I took a risk of not scheduling a trial session before my engagement, but without a doubt Shilpa and her crew made me look beautiful! I got compliments all night long about my make up and hair. The air brush make up was just perfect. It felt like I had nothing on my skin. The colors she used for my eye make up turned out absolutely gorgeous! The only thing I had told Shilpa before she started working on me, is that i want a natural look and something very simple for my hair style and she did exactly what I had asked for. I was even helped to get into my dress and jewelry. Shilpa and her crew started on time and finished exactly on the time.

Because of professionalism, great talent, amazing skills, flexibility with timings and requests; I have decided to get my wedding make up and hair from Shilpa. I, along with my bride's maids and family members cannot wait to have her on board for my wedding!!

I don't usually write reviews but I have to share how amazing Shilpa is at what she does! I hired her to do makeup for me and a wedding party of 11 as well as my engagement photos. I was nervous because I don't normally wear makeup and wanted to be able to recognize myself. She was easy to work with and really listened to what I wanted. I loved my natural look and the airbrush was amazing! I cried several times and it still looked fresh at the end of the night.

The day of the wedding she arrived early and brought an assistant that was equally amazing! Her prices are very reasonable, and she's worth every penny. I had 450 guests at my wedding so I was extremely stressed. Shilpa made my makeup artist selection easy and was the one of the best vendors I secured for my wedding. I will be using her again in the future!

Early this year I was searching and searching for make-up artists in Houston who could do make-up well, but still make my skin look natural. Alas, I could not find anyone in Houston, but ran across Shilpa's website and her reviews are on spot! It was a pleasure working with Shilpa! She took her time to make me look AMAZING for my wedding and reception. She's calm and makes you feel relaxed, no matter how crazy the day is! She is really good at jewelry and bindi placement too! For my reception, I wanted a retro 60's homage to old bollywood. I have really thick hair and she created a wonderful updo for my wedding and a sexy ponytail with lots of volume. She is professional and an incredibly talented artist. I am so glad she was able to come from Dallas to be an important part of my wedding.

Shilpa did my hair and makeup beautifully! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. My makeup lasted through the entire night and after dancing all night I was sweating bullets. My hair lasted a long time too. She also made my four bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law look gorgeous. They all loved her work. She was able to get most of us done herself! I'm definitely using Shilpa again for my next event.

After weeks of searching, my sister came across Shilpa's web page. I read reviews, looked at videos and photo. Gave her a call and she was everything I needed in a hair and make up artist. She did my mom and sisters hair and make up also. my mom has every thin and fine hair, she was able to make her hair look great. We all wanted very natural look to our makeup, she made that happen. Shilpa was very friendly and helpful and listened to what we wanted and made sure that's how she did it all. Wonderful person to work with. I would recommend her to anyone for any event. She also sent her assistants to my other family and did the ladies on the groom side, everyone looked great!!!!!

Shilpa was absolutely amazing to work with. She is not only a talented hair and makeup artist, but she is a great person and so easy-going. I knew I did not have to stress about my hair and makeup if I was in her hands. She is the utmost professional. She responds immediately to emails, she is always on time, if not early, and she can do pretty much whatever you want with your hair and makeup. I simply showed her a photo of what I wanted, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. On your wedding day, you want to look gorgeous, and Shilpa does that for you!

Shilpa came highly recommended for both hair and makeup, and I can see why. She’s very professional, dependable and extremely talented. She’s very responsive to emails/voicemails and throughout the planning process she offered me assurance that we would achieve the look I wanted...and she delivered. I highly recommend doing a trial with her so you get an idea of what look works for you. I wasn’t sure what I liked beforehand, but after the trial, I had a clear picture. This also saved time in making any last minute decisions on the wedding day. I normally don't wear that much makeup. She used an airbrush which worked great for me. It felt so light and natural, and lasted all day. I received several compliments on it. She also did hair and makeup for my mother, and my mom was very pleased with the results. She had a great team of assistants who did the bridesmaids’ hair too. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Shilpa is very calm and has the ability to make you feel at ease on your big day. She plans appropriately and gives herself (and her assistants) plenty of buffer time to work with you and your wedding party so no one feels rushed. I was very pleased with the results. I'm very happy and fortunate that Shilpa was a part of our wedding.

Shilpa and her girls were great. I had a huge wedding party and was looking for someone who would be able to provide services to 13 people without me having to worry about time or quality. Shilpa definitely delivered and my wedding party looked wonderful with even 30 minutes to spare. I was hesitant about getting airbrush makeup but the way Shilpa did it I didn't regret it! Shilpa made me look amazing on my wedding day that I even shed a tear once I looked in the mirror. She was friendly, professional and organized.

Shilpa is great to work with!! Shilpa is incredibly talented at what she does. She did my hair and make up for my wedding and I was just amazed at how natural I looked. My biggest problem was covering my acne scars and making it look natural without looking "cakey." If there is any soon to be Indian bride worried and looking for a perfect makeup i would say look no further till you see shilpas work for yourself. I was in china when i had to decide for whom to choose to do my makeup. i didnt want to rely on anyone's opinion , i wanted to see for my self the ( looking at the pictures) and the profile of work he/she , the makeup artist does. I searched online, read reviews contacted three makeup artist before i found out about shilpa. Her work from what I could see really impressed me and loved the way she responded to my mail and her confidence assured me that i was in safe hands. Of all the things i worried about the wedding , i did not worry at all about how I looked, I knew she would make me look the best possible way i could look as a bride. she asked me about my regular daily style to so as to work on it and would ask me if there was anything i did not like or change it.
