Alejo and Theresa were the photographers for my wedding, and Alejo also did our engagement shoot. They are fantastic. They were extremely easy to work with, responsive, and overall great people. The engagement photos turned out wonderfully, and Alejo even took extra time to try to get a "family" shot of us with our cat. When it came time for the wedding, they were prompt and got right to work, setting up amazing shots without being disruptive. In fact, we barely knew that they were there. They put everyone at ease and somehow were able to get great group shots and shots of everyone important, even though we forgot to give them the list of "required" photos until the very last minute. Our wedding photos are better than I ever imagined they could be, and I highly recommend Alejo and Theresa. We are so glad that we selected them to be our wedding photographers.

It is hard to express in words how great our experience with Flutter photo was. From our engagement photo session till the last dance of our wedding Alejo and Theresa made us feel comfortable and gave us peace of mind knowing that our memories would be captured on film. I had first hand knowledge of their professionalism and the quality of their work. So, when I called to tell them of my engagement and to request their services for my Vegas wedding, they made sure they would be there to shoot and celebrate with us! After looking for literally several months for someone to shoot our wedding, which involved an outdoor ceremony with low angle afternoon sun, a 15 block long New Orleans Style parade through the streets of Old Town Alexandria, and an indoor cocktail reception, which means a wide variety of lighting conditions, I had all but given up after interviewing many photographers. But then I found flutterphoto online, and met Alejo and Theresa in person to discuss how they would tackle this sort of a shoot. I was extremely impressed with their technical skill, as evidenced by photos taken at other events, and was relieved that they were willing to work with a rather nontraditional flow of events at our wedding. I expected to receive technically high quality photos. I received a lot more than that.
The artistic composition of so many of the shots simply amaze me, and given that I shoot some photojournalism style shots myself for my work, it was humbling to know that no matter how much my own technical skill improves over time, my own photography will never approach Alejo's skill. He has an amazing eye.
It is also worth noting that on the day of the event I didn't have to do a single thing to direct or support Alejo. Having had to manage a number of photographers in my professional life, I can't explain how much of a relief it was to know that Alejo has everything under control.
Every aspect exceeded my expectations, and to be honest I'm pretty hard to please, and am fairly critical of every other photographer I've ever worked with.
I highly recommend Alejo and flutterphoto. And while he largely focuses on wedding events, I look forward to working with him and Theresa in the future to support business projects I need documented in the future. I believe he'd be outstanding at photojournalism or corporate photography as well, and look forward to an ongoing relationship with flutter photo.

Yes, they capture the tender moments, but they understood that our wedding was a celebration. They asked excellent questions about what we wanted the photographs to capture. They also were flexible on adjusting our package since we planned this wedding from afar, and did not need engagement photos. I could not recommend Flutterphoto highly enough. They arrived early for all appointments, provided thorough communication before and after my wedding and generated some specatular photos that we will treasure for a lifetime. Photography was more important to us than any other service, because we knew that long after the bouquet was tossed and the cake eaten, this was the only way to be able to truly look back on our day and remember those moments. With that in mind, we were NOT willing to lower our standards just to save a few dollars. We have many friends that still regret their decision to sacrifice quality for cost.

Simply put, Alejo & Theresa exceeded our expectations. I knew from our initial consultation that I wanted to book Flutterphoto, not only because of his professional presentation of his beautiful work, but because of his passion for beautiful photography and his easygoing nature. Theresa and Alejo arrived on time, prepared for work, with postive spirits that put everyone at ease. Our bridal party (even the little ones) loved them and our guests even raved about them because not only were they professional but they were fun! Guests kept coming up to me stating how they never saw the photographers but knew they were there, because of the flashing lights. I believe this is unobtrusiveness at its best. They interacted postively with all of our guests and even my niece became quick friends with Theresa while she manned the photobooth.

Our photographs beautifully captured all the highlights of our day and even moments I do not remember. One that specifically comes to mine is the photo of my neice and nephew that placed at the prestigious WPJA awards! I didn't even remember this moment and I was in the room! This was an awesome achievement not only for me and my family but for Flutterphoto as well! We could not be more honored.
