Cakeman Raven makes the best Red Velvet cakes ever. Covered in cream cheese frosting, know one knows that that your cake isn't the typical cake until the cutting! Then you have moist, fluffy, delicious, blood-red goodness beneath that white creaminess.
Unfortunately the service is very annoying. The person who took my order informed me that even though each of the layers of the three tier cake I wanted cost a total of about $260, becasue it was a "wedding cake", it would be $800. I told her that I would buy the tiers and put it together and that I would just buy three circular cakes in different sizes. She still said that it would cost $800. So, in exasperation, I told her that it was NOT a wedding cake. That settled, I paid $260 in advance. When the cake arrived, the largest layer was SQUARE! I know she/they did that on purpose. Luckily I have a creative aunt who made it look beautiful anyway.
