We had a completely vegan wedding and were so grateful to find Lael Cakes. We chose two flavors after a fun cake tasting that Emily put together for us, and the final cake was everything we hoped for. She created an elegant and delicious three-tier cake. Several guests told us it was the best cake they’d ever had!

I would like to thank Emily and her team for giving me and Ani our dream cake! It was absolutely stunning, delicious and so unique! This was the primary reason I chose Emily, because her cakes looked different, felt personal and she was also able to accommodate our flavor requests. Every single flavor was so delicious, and the mango one turned out to be my favorite. Funny because that's the one we didn't even have in our tasting! That's the amazing thing about trust though, once you trust someone with something so important - they're bound to deliver it to their fullest potential and that's exactly what Emily did!!

My twin has severe dietary allergies and it was important to me that she could celebrate with me on my wedding day (including having wedding cake which she never gets to partake in as a wedding guest). I was hesitant about only having a vegan/gluten free cake until The trial when Each flavor was so divine I could barely make up my mind. We went with the almond hibiscus with ganache and cannot praise the cake enough. The texture was perfect and the decor was simple and elegant- exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this vendor whether you have dietary restrictions or not.

Emily made me a beautiful and delicious gluten free cake for my wedding. I have Celiac Disease and I had absolutely no worries about Emily making my cake. Do not hesitate to book her! She is unbelievably talented!

Lael Cakes was absolutely a highlight of our wedding! Emily was amazing to work with and she went above and beyond in creating an artful, delicious final product that our guests unanimously raved about weeks after our reception. She was very gracious to provide take home samples of our cake to confirm our flavor choices, and she went meticulously reviewed the design/colors. Also, delivery to our venue was perfect. My wife and I were thrilled. In fact, we have a couple of slices frozen that we can't wait to have for our anniversary next year. Definitely keep Lael Cakes at the top of your list!

Emily was AMAZING to work with, and her cake was one of the highlights of our wedding! Many guests noted that it was the BEST wedding cake they’ve ever had. The flavors (Gingerbread / Maple and Carrot / Ginger) were so memorable and unique. I cannot recommend Emily enough - her cake really made our big day even more special!

Emily at Lael Bakery was amazingly helpful in making our dream cake a reality! It was gluten free and dairy free and all of our guests were blown away at the beauty and taste of the cake! Can't overmphasize enough how delicious the cake was! We had the cocoa-espresso and lemon-lavender flavors and they were both super delicious and great complements to each other.

Emily was fantastic to work with! She was super responsive and talked through all of the details of the cake itself and the logistics with us in detail. We were able to taste four amazing flavors in advance and choose two for our final cake (we could have chosen just one, but wanted to give people a choice!). The delivery and logistics day off were super smooth and we couldn't have asked for anything more! We highly highly recommend Lael for anyone and especially for those with sensitivities.

We included some photos - they aren't perfect, but we didn't get too many since people ate it so quickly :) It was truly stunning!

Lael Cakes was a highlight of our wedding. Emily was so on point with her design from the notes we gave about design. She made an incredible take-home sample kit that was raved about for months until the big day. The guests were so impressed with her design and we felt so special to have something so beautiful, with flavors and fillings that invoked so much of our favorite things about cake. To be able to offer all of our guests a slice of delicious, beautifully-made, custom wedding cake, with consideration of all their dietary needs, was the biggest blessing we were so grateful to have. We are already planning our next order for a smaller occasion.
