I was looking for an original concept to provide something fun and memorable for my guests at my wedding, and A.E.’s live sketching more than fit the bill. From the very beginning, A.E. was a pleasure to deal with, dependable, and blended right in among the guests as he went to work sketching. Guests were delighted and tickled when they were handed an envelope containing an original portrait for them to take home. A.E. provided us with a lovely sketch of our ceremony, and he will also sketch anyone you specifically request among the guests. A.E.’s live sketching more than enhanced the experience at my wedding, and I cannot recommend him enough for your event.

I was looking for heart shaped cookies to use as favors for my wedding. We were donating to the American Heart Association and needed a heart shaped cookie. Finding one proved to be a difficult task, until stumbling across the Heartbreaker Baker website. Heartbreaker Baker had exactly what I was looking for. There are a variety of different, mouth-watering flavors to chose from. The owner, Eleanor, was a PLEASURE to work with. She sent us a variety of samples, so we could chose which flavor we wanted for our favor. I have eaten many delicious cookies in my life, but none as fantastic as the Stuck of Yous chocolate/caramel. Honestly, they were the best cookie I have ever had. We had to use them for our favors. Eleanor was wonderful to work with and her cookies are delicious. I highly recommend her for any occasion!!!

I worked with Hell Gate Apothecary to create custom candles for my Bachelorette and for our wedding favors and I have to say this was such a unique and magical experience that ultimately resulted in such beautifully crafted outcomes! I decided to go with the option for custom scents for both events and got to work in person on designing exactly what the vision was for each of my candles- for my bach I went with a spring garden that came out PERFECT smelling like hydrangeas. Then I had my fiancee join me to build our wedding candle together, which in itself was a cool experience and collaboration, as he showed me what he liked scent wise and I shared what I enjoyed. Together we came up with a wonderful coconut amber summery scent that was perfect! The quality of the jars, the burn of the candles, and the scent is incredible. The labels and custom matchsticks we added on were also top quality graphic wise and are SO cute. I think my guests are going to love them :) I highly encourage anyone wanting to make candles to go with HGA and give it a try as they help guide you and its such a unique process with beautiful results.

What is there to say except MMMMMMM? Well, a bit more. We ordered our wedding cake from CCC, and it was a very pleasant experience. Angela worked with us to get the right size cakes for our wedding, and when it slipped my mind to call and make the actual order, Angela called me! It was a good thing too because we would have been so bummed to not have a cake. She was also great when I had to change the shipping address 2 times. Very kind, flexible and friendly. Thanks again Angela! The cake was amazing.

Great gifts and invitations, great service

Every Greek bride knows Markella. Markella did the favors for my parents' wedding, my brother's christening and my christening. So there was no way we were getting koufeta from somewhere else! I was really happy with how the ribbon, koufeta and silk flowers came out. They were able to make the koufeta into flower petals, rather than in the tulle sack, and the outcome was very beautiful.

Vanessa Barg of Gnosis Chocolate was a delight to work with, who also creates a super A - product. Being a holistic health counselor, I wanted to created a green wedding that had healthy food for my guests. Naturally when I thought about what I wanted to give my wedding guests as something to take home, I thought of Gnosis Chocolates, an environmentally conscious chocolate company who create sinfully delicious and 100% healthy raw chocolate bars! The ingredients on my chocolate bars contained 100% organic ingredients from cacao bean, cacao butter, Agave Nectar, Goji berries, Pomegranate powder and several others healthy organic choices. Vanessa worked with me to create specific ingredients for my bars, and also worked with me and created the beautiful wedding labels that each clear chocolate box had on them. Vanessa delivered on time, was available any time I called and was wonderful to work with. My guests all RAVED about the chocolates and were also in awe at how delicious raw chocolate with NO sugar or other harmful substances tasted. I recommend Vanessa and Gnosis Chocolate whole heartily! I knew I wanted a yummy, Brooklyn-centric edible favor to give to our guests, and By Brooklyn was the place to go! I was worried that we wouldn't be able to find anything great in our price range, but Mindy had some great suggestions. We ended up going with sea salt caramels from Liddabit Brooklyn, and everyone loved them! By Brooklyn also has other great options, some of which were a little out of my budget (but would have been amazing) and some of which were totally affordable. (Like pencils with Brooklyn slogans: "No Sleep Til Brooklyn," anyone?) I know they'll also work with you on packaging them up, though I chose to go the DIY route since I'm a glutton for punishment. Check them out!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Katherine as our live painter at our wedding, and she truly exceeded every expectation. She captured one of our first dance with unbelievable detail and artistry. The final painting is absolutely stunning. Our families and guests were mesmerized watching her work throughout the night. Beyond her incredible talent, Katherine is professional and so easy to work with. She listened closely to what we envisioned, asked thoughtful questions and brought it to life in a way that felt even more beautiful than we could have imagined. We now have a piece of art we will cherish forever, and it’s something we’ll proudly hang in our home for years to come. If you’re considering a live painter for your event, we can’t recommend Katherine enough.
