About Us
Unlike other recreation centers, the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center looks and feels like a cozy resort. When you walk in, you will be greeted by an inviting fire flickering in the beautifully crafted mountain stone fireplace. Complementing the fireplace are pillars made of matching mountain stone that create the aura you’re in the country.

The Ballroom is an elegant, open space with a rich-looking wooden dance floor bordered by carpet. Our dance floor is considered one of the best in the area. The Ballroom can be divided into two or three smaller rooms to accommodate more intimate gatherings. Create the mood you want - bright and cheery or dim and romantic - with the special effects lighting.

A fully-equipped catering kitchen is adjacent to the Ballroom and is available for use by the caterer of your choice. A friendly, knowledgeable representative will work with you to make sure your special event is a success!

The venue was perfect and our caterer commented on how awesome the kitchen was. We had pictures taken outside by the barn and it was just amazing. The event coordinator, Julie, was very helpful in discussing room layout prior to our event. I appreciated all her suggestions and am happy that we incorporated all her ideas. Our wedding reception actually wrapped up earlier than expected so the event coordinator on staff that night came by and said that if we were out of the ballroom by 9pm rather than 10pm, then they would refund us an hours worth of rental time.
