Rustic, yet elegant. Out of the way, yet accessible. Spacious, yet still intimate. If you're looking for an extra-special venue, the Longmeadow Event Center is your perfect choice. Located in rural Wiggins, it is far enough from the city to give you and your guests an authentic country wedding experience, yet it is within an hour or so of most cities on the front range, making it a very reasonable commute for your guests. We love working at the Longmeadow Event Center for many reasons. First and foremost, the ownership and staff. They are superb. Heath and Ty Stencel and their team of committed employees will provide you and your guests with the very best in service. I promise you, you will feel as if you are "at home", yet well cared for and pampered at the same time. Secondly, the sheer beauty of the event center. The Longmeadow Event Center is not a retrofitted facility, it is a venue that was designed, with a tremendous amount of forethought to be the quintessential wedding/party/special event venue. Every little detail was thought of in advance and constructed with excellence. The stained concrete floor is very dramatic is most likely one of the first things you will take note of. But then when you take some time to look at the many details, you will be thoroughly impressed with the craftsmanship. The lighting. The vertical "waterwall" feature is really dramatic. The restrooms are large and...clean! The way the spacious bar separates (and is serviced by both sides simultaneously) the dining room and lounge is genius. One of the largest covered patios I've ever seen is on the east side of the Event Center and provides complete weather protection for your guests (if needed) while they are witnessing your wedding ceremony on the beautiful outdoor elevated terrace. I believe up to 300 guests can be comfortably seated under this lovely canopy. All food is prepared in-house, in their own kitchen and is (in our humble opinions) some of the best venue-prepared meals we've ever experienced. Their steaks are some of the best I've ever had. Anywhere. One of the many "icing on the cake" features at the LEC is that fact that they have a number of overnight suites (I think it's around 10-12) for the guests of honor to spend the night and not have to worry about driving after a day of celebration. The overnight suites are all joined by a spacious and elegant common area in the center. It's lovely. Take advantage of this! I believe a hot breakfast for overnight guests is another wonderful option. You owe it to yourself, if you are looking for a wonderful, rural venue to check out the Longmeadow Event Center. I know every time we have a booking come in, and we see that the event will the held at Longmeadow, we look forward to it with great anticipation knowing full well that it is going to be an amazing celebration in which the guests of honor have the time of their lives.
