What beauty services do you offer?

Do you charge for trials?
Yes. All Summer trials are currently included with a booked date of service. To inquire about pricing, please email makeupbyindia@gmail.com
 
Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
For all on location bridal bookings, a minimum of four people must receive services. Once minimum is met, travel up to 60 miles round-trip of Gary, Indiana is included. Parking fees must be provided, if applicable. Please call for extended travel rates beyond the immediate Chicagoland area.
 
How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
I am more than happy and able to accomodate any size bridal party.
 
How far in advance should clients book your services?
A bride typically should have a trial no more than three months before her wedding day. After the trial, I do require a deposit of 50% in order to hold reservation. Wedding dates are reserved only when a contract is complete and signed and deposit is received.
 
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. The contract is revisable up to one month before the wedding day. If any person cancels after this deadline, that person's services is still applied to the total due.

What brand of makeup do you use?

I only use professional products because it is the only way to get flawless results on the most important day.
A Bride needs to be flawless on her wedding day, not only in person but also in photographs.
M.A.C, Covergirl, Maybelline, Revlon, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, and Sonia Kashuk are some of my most favorite and reliable brands.
However, preparing the skin with professional skincare is the first step in order for the "color" to adhere flawlessly to the skin.
I can customize a natural image all the way to a glamourous look with these products and they work beautifully for women of all colors.

Are you confident with creating makeup palette for women of color? Children? Mature skin?

Yes, Yes and Yes!!! I have experience in working with clients who are from all different walks of life. I have also been part of a team that produces photoshoots for models. My clients range from the very young to the most mature.
The appropriate quantity of makeup and good skincare is essential to every satisfied client.

What do I bring to the makeup trial?

If possible you should wear something the same color as your wedding dress or bring pictures of your dress. Bring photos of hair and makeup styles you like, as well as your veil and any hair accessories.

CLASSIC VS. TRENDY
The most important advice I can give you is this:
Stay away from extreme makeup trends & go for a slightly more classic look that enhances your best features.
You can go with something very modern or nontraditional if you want.
You don't want to overdo it. It is important to look like yourself.
Just the most beautiful you possible. :)

WEDDING DAY DISASTERS...AVOIDED!
Try these beauty helpers a solid month beforehand. This way, if there are any glitches, you'll have plenty of time to work out the kinks.

1. Self-tanner: whether you use a bottle or visit a sprany-on booth, you'll want to make sure the color is natural.
2. Deep exfoliation, like glycolic peels: although these treatments are gentle, you never know how your skin will react. You don't want any irritation or flakes (old, dull sheds for a day or two after each treatment) to show on your special day. Four weeks gives you time for a few prewedding treatments.
3. Facials: I find that facials can cause skin to break out, since some skin types overreact to extreme cleaning.
4. Waxing: to avoid rashes and red welts, make sure all hair removal is done well ahead of time.
