Now in our 24th year of operation, The Knife & Fork Caterers is a well-organized, innovative party planning and catering company recognized by our clients and Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top caterers in the entire region. Our management team has some sixty years of collective experience in the fine-dining and catering industry.

QUALITY IS OUR BYWORD! Our menu items are designed to be prepared on-site for the first time whenever possible to assure optimum flavor and freshness. We are a full service company in every sense of the word. The Knife & Fork has preferred-caterer status at many of the area's finest event locations. Of course, we provide all the required equipment, magnificent custom linens and a superb staff. But much more than that, we are renowned for our ability and eagerness to guide and support you through every facet of the planning and preparation for your reception. As you begin to plan your event with us we will create a customized menu and event plan which genuinely reflects your taste, style and budget. By operating this way, we can assure you of our continuing creativity and commitment to excellence.

The Knife & Fork is a custom caterer working with our prospective clients to create a menu and a look that suits their tastes, budget and the season. We are also full service - many times working in lieu of a party planner, we will create the time line, floor plan, coordinate all of your vendors and run the actual event. We provide the rentals of tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, table linens and more. We provide the bar set ups, mixers, ice and bar fruit. We provide the staffing - kitchen, wait people, bus staff and bartenders.

You are welcome to provide your own alcohol and we will assist you in where to purchase the product as well as what to order and how much.To get you started we send out sample menus which are priced for food alone. The samples are designed to give you an idea of the many types of cuisine that we do as well as combinations of service styles. The sample menus you will receive are not even a single percent of what we do!
