Depends on the assignment
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Yes, indeed! I look forward to it!
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
When the event is booked, I guarantee my presence or let the client know if an associate is covering.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Personally, one per day.
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
Absolutely!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Camera, lighting, wireless microphones, tripod (at least 2 of everything)
Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Of course!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Possibly a couple, however I never compromise taking a break if I believe I might miss something.
Do you charge overtime?
After 9 hours, there is a nominal overtime charge.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Yes
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
Yes, unless it goes against the client's wishes.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
The bride and groom are definitely involved in the editing. I like to get their input on pictures, music and credits in addition to how much (if any) special effects they wish included.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
Approximately 3 - 4 weeks
