The Westin San Diego
One of the best parts of getting married at a hotel is the convenience for your guests. Not only can your loved ones stay right on premises (making transportation a non-issue), they’ll also be able to enjoy all of the amenities and explore the city. The Westin San Diego is one of our favorite downtown San Diego wedding venues because it offers all this and more. There are two ballrooms, the Emerald Ballroom which can host up to 450 guests, and the Crystal Ballroom, which has a capacity of 350.

Industrial-style loft spaces are all the rage right now, and this downtown San Diego wedding venue is no exception. Luce Loft is located within the 1928 Carnation Dairy Building, and offers stained concrete floors, large windows, and a high ceiling. Some of our favorite downtown San Diego wedding venues feature both indoor and outdoor spaces. This hotel offers a gorgeous 6th floor terrace that can host both ceremonies and receptions—with the right décor, it can have a garden-like feel. There’s also an indoor Grand Ballroom, which can host 500 guests for a gorgeous celebration. Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
This downtown wedding venue offers the best of both worlds—an elegant and stunning hotel that also overlooks the water. And with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, you can customize to make your wedding day uniquely your own! The Bayview Terrace offers lovely outdoor space on the 32nd floor with views of the skyline and bay. There are several indoor ballrooms, from the grand Coronado Ballroom to the Seaview room to the largest Seaport Ballroom. This is an ideal space for weddings with large guest lists, as it can accommodate up to 3,000 guests.

The Abbey on Fifth Avenue
This is one of the most unique downtown San Diego wedding venues we’ve come across. With its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, including stained glass windows and 50-foot ceilings, this is a historic and gorgeous space that will absolutely wow your guests—and has a Renaissance feel that is quite special. With on-site catering and accommodating staff, you’ll also find planning to be a breeze at this venue—and it can host up to 475 guests. Even though this venue does have a church-like feel, it is nondenominational and open to couples of all faiths.
