What is the story behind Luce Loft?

Luce Loft is a warehouse wedding venue situated in downtown San Diego, CA. Tucked away in the heart of the East Village area, this elegant location combines vintage charm with modern comfort to provide a stunning setting to host once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. Stylish and versatile, it is perfect for celebrating every stage of your wedding, including your engagement party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. It is located not far from PetCo Park stadium and is less than a 15-minute drive from San Diego International Airport, making it ideal for guests visiting from both near and far.

Facilities and Capacity

Luce Loft has been meticulously designed to provide to-be-weds with a rustic and inviting venue to bring their wedding vision to life. Accommodating up to 75 guests max, it features two separate event spaces to avail of with an open floor plan that allows couples to make it their very own. It features a towering high-arched barrel ceiling, poured-concrete walls and floors, hanging light bulbs, and chic styling doors for a feeling of modern elegance. Fully-furnished get-ready rooms are also available, allowing you to prepare for your big day in secluded peace and privacy.

Services Offered

In keeping with LUCE Event’s aim to provide customizable venue options for couples, the team at LUCE LOFT has an open-vendor policy. This includes the ability to bring in outside beverages & catering. Our rate includes a full-day rental from 9 am (load in) to 12:30 am (load out). With outside vendors being permitted, we allow you to celebrate your day your way. To ensure all of your guests have easy access to the property, there is nearby public parking, valet service (additional cost), and wheelchair accessibility.

Beautiful Modern Venue and Amazing Team!

I absolutely love this venue! As someone who works in the wedding industry, I knew I wanted something aesthetically pleasing but also practical for our wedding venue. Our guests thought the setting was so perfect for us and also loved the central downtown location to explore. The whole team has great communication and has been so kind and accommodating during the whole process. We even had to move our wedding date and they made it beyond easy. Would highly recommend any of Luce Loft's venues!

Great Space, Welcoming and Responsive

Disclaimer: We ended up not choosing Luce Loft (a little too small) or Luce on Kettner (a little too big) BUT we highly recommend reaching out to both spaces for a tour as our experience during viewing was very welcoming and great. They really helped us envision how our wedding would look and what they could help you on.

Luce Loft would be great for an intimate wedding, and Luce on Kettner great for a big bash. Luce on Kettner is also brand new so facilities reflect that in terms of the dressing rooms, catering rooms, bathrooms, etc. Highly recommend!

Amazing Space!

Big open Loft for the perfect small or medium size wedding we loved the location right in downtown SD. The owner and management was very easy to work with. They have a list of vendors they have worked with before to jump start our planning. The best part is the space is completely open so we where free to create our own look with the tables and chairs that we rented. The inside is so unique itself we really didn't have to do much decorating which helped with our budget.

Referred me to an awesome wedding coordinator; they were super easy to work with. Con: many of the photos of the venue show candles which they no longer allow. I chose this place because I loved the ambiance which candles can add a lot to. They were unflinching in being able to use them and i had to rent tacky electric ones. Their excuse? it would drain their air conditioning. LAME

I'm in love with Luce Loft! I'm convinced that we couldn't have found a more magical place for our wedding reception. You have the freedom to create whatever vision you have on any kind of budget. I didn't think it was possible to do a wedding under 10k, but Zack and Alie made it possible for us. They were extremely easygoing, accommodating, responsive, and genuinely nice people. I don't have enough good things to say about this space. I wish I could relive every moment.

My husband and I are so happy we had our wedding at Luce Loft! We were drawn to the raw look of the space which makes this venue truly unique. Our guests commented on how they loved the romantic and intimate feel of the venue throughout the night. The team at Luce Loft was awesome to work with as well! Zack and Alie were very professional, helpful and responsive to the many questions we had. The day of our wedding went smoothly too; Shawnta was the venue manager that night and was great! We were able to accommodate 135 guests and did a buffet style dinner which was set up in the connected J Suite (that extra space is also a huge plus). We hope to attend another wedding or event at Luce Loft in the future!

My husband and I are so glad we had our wedding at Luce Loft. The downtown location is close to a lot of hotels for out-of-town guests and the building itself is so unique! Their team is extremely responsive and professional. If you are looking for day-of-coordination, check out Alie at Soirees with Grace. She is a wonderful coordinator that works exclusively with Luce Loft.

We had our wedding at luce loft and it was absolutely beautiful! The space was complimented over and over from our guests! Alie and Zack were amazing to work with and made it a breeze. Couldn’t love this place more!

Luce was so helpful from start to finish when it came to our wedding. From my million questions before booking up until the day-of, I always felt confident that Luce was there for us. Alie was our day-of girl and she was helpful behind the scenes, and also just very chill, which I think is SO important during such a hectic time. Guests raved about the venue, our pictures came out beautifully, and I'd highly recommend ANYONE looking to get married at Luce!
