Facilities and Capacity
The impressive decoration in The Abbey’s interior will make your day unforgettable. With 50-foot cathedral ceilings, colorful stained glass windows, polished redwood molding and woodwork, and stunning fixtures suspended from the ceilings, you will be transformed into a Renaissance feel with this classic decor. For your ceremony, couples may host up to 175 guests. In the reception space, couples may host up to 300 guests.
Your ceremony will include white aisle runners, two altar candelabras, table for unity candles, one-hour rehearsal with coordinator and one-hour ceremony time. As for your reception, you will have every detail taken care of, from the flowers to photography, entertainment and more. The Abbey on Fifth Avenue is a private special event facility managed by Hornblower Cruises & Events, two-time recipients of the finest service award. Some services and event items include:
The Abbey on Fifth Avenue and Hornblower Cruises & Events created five menu package options to choose from. They are also happy to customize your wedding menu to reflect your tastes. The Grande Package is a very elegant menu, combining traditional and California cuisine. Gabriel’s Package offers a food station option, featuring three stations ranging from chicken, salmon and steak, as well as hors d’oeuvres and dessert. Option three is the Balboa Package, using local, organic and seasonal ingredients for a delicious menu. The Horton Reception Package is the next option, inclusive of tray-passed appetizers and a seated salad and entree option. The final option is the Fifth Avenue Package, a Mediterranean-style buffet with menu selections such as New York strip loin, chicken breast, penne pasta, tomato and mozzarella, grilled vegetables and much more.
The Abbey also uses their professional experts to offer additional services, if couples choose to utilize them. One option is the Classic or Elegant wedding service, which includes things like a red carpet arrival, colored napkins, regal chair covers and sash. Other services include:

We had our wedding and reception here on 6/10/17. I can not say enough good things about The Abbey! It is definitely a hidden gem! At first I wasn't sure about it from the pictures on the website, but we fell in love with it when we visited the first time. It's so unique and we loved the historical feel to it- it's a beautiful and different venue, which is exactly what we wanted! Our guests LOVED it too, and so many of them came up and were asking how we found the place and commenting on how great of a venue it was. Kelly Rossi was so great with answering all my emails over the 1+ year after we had booked it, and Kristi Bryant was also very friendly and helpful! We also loved how all the staff (floor manager, servers, bartenders, etc) were so professional and did an amazing job with treating us and our guests so well throughout the whole wedding and reception. They also did a great job with my milk allergy, which I was very worried about! I am extremely allergic to milk or anything dairy, but they did an amazing job with putting together an allergen safe menu for me, watching cross contamination, etc. We loved everything about The Abbey and can't say enough about it! It was also surprisingly reasonable in price and definitely seemed much more expensive than it actually was. The food was delicious (we got so many compliants from our guests too), and the bar package was great as well! Both of which were very reasonable in price. Our guests (and us!) are still talking about The Abbey and how great our wedding was- Our wedding day would not have been the same at a different venue. The Abbey was a dream to work with. Kristi Bryant was a joy to collaborate with on our reception. She was straight forward and always eager to listen to what we needed, even we weren't sure what that was. The quality of the food was outstanding and the service was really top notch. Kristie was wonderful in helping us set everything up and go through the planning. Our reception turned out as well as i had imagined and would make the same decisions again and again. It was a gorgeous evening and truly my favorite day !!
Really nice venue! I love that they have a second story.
