You can get married directly beneath the St. Johns Bridge, with views of the Willamette River in the distance. The stairs and deck area (pictured above) can accommodate up to 100 people. Cathedral Park is managed by Portland Parks & Recreation, which requires a pre-issued permit and usage fees for the space.
The Colony St. Johns
With space for up to 300 guests, The Colony may seem large, but the venue’s customizability makes it ideal for smaller groups, too. Flexible event space, minimal decor, and three different rooms at this banquet hall allow you to decide the exact setup that works for your needs. If you’re considering a ceremony at Cathedral Park, this venue is only a mile away, making it super-accessible for your reception. The Colony offers full-service in-house catering, or you can choose from the venue’s list of exclusive catering partners. Stay on-site in one of the venue’s two fully-furnished apartments, which are great spaces for getting ready with your wedding party or using as a “home base” if you’re coming from out of town. McLean House and Park
This charming cottage, which is surrounded by landscaped grounds, lush forests, and borders the Willamette River, is a lovely location for hosting an intimate garden wedding. McLean House is just 20 minutes outside of downtown, and its tucked-away location in West Linn makes it one of the best small wedding venues in Portland, Oregon for couples who want a setting that’s a bit more secluded and quiet.
