How much did your wedding dress cost?

I have been having doubts about the dress I already bought. The friend who was with me kinda pressured me into getting it. I'm gonna sell it and buy a new one. I have fallen in LOVE with a dress, but it is $7,000. ...just curious to see what you ladies paid. Here's the dress! (Isn't she lovely!!!) ...

Mines was $400, it was on sale at DB. My original budget was less than 1K and I was happy that I found a dress that I loved way below budget. With alterations it'll ocme to less than $600 in all. Just buy a dress that fits your budget, there are a lot fo gorgeous dressess out there that are not too expensive.

My dress was 128 dollars with tax!!! A bridal store went out of business and donated all of their dresses to Goodwill so naturally as soon as I found out I raced up there and found a $5000 custom made dress still in the garment bag with tags still on it!!!!

Mine was originally $1,050 but I bought it on clearance at db for $550, they were also having a sale so I only paid $500! I paid a little over $800 with my veil, tiara, and slip.

First dress was $400.00 was $550.00 second dresses that I am thinking about getting is $670.00 she said she would let me have it for $550.00.

If I get that dress I will have spent $950.00 on dresses, kinda makes me wish I would've just paid $1000.00 for a dress that I would LOVE to begin with. I was trying to be the "budget" bride. My advice to someone that is trying to "save" money.. don't save it on the dress, because you will just regret it later. Some might get a great deal on there dream dress but don't settle for anything less then THE dress!!!

$350, less than half the original price, after A LOT of shopping. For advice on how to find sales, and other budget-friendly options from a bride who did the legwork, I recommend: http://www.bluecollarbride.com/the-dress-on-your-budget/

I searched and searched forever and couldn't find the dress I wanted. I had a pretty clear idea of how I wanted mine and so I ended up having it custom made for a great price. Mine will cost 4400 including alterations. It is made of great French and Italian fabrics so the quality justifies the price. If you can handle driving to Boston for the fittings (there are usually 7-10 fittings total) it might be worth it. The place I go to is called Sabella Couture. It is owned by two super friendly sisters. One of them is a designer and she is great. She knew exactly what I was looking for. She had the dress of my dreams designed according to my specifications right there and then. I was so impressed. Oh and did I mention I am the pickiest person alive Smiley laughD If you are interested I can give you their contact info. Their custom made dresses start from 2500. It might be worth it if you can get the dress of your dreams and save some money to spend on other wedding stuff Smiley smile))

@Kayla, I love your sketches! I love the cape and hood, so cool!

Mine was a sample dress totalling ~$2200 with tax and with the crazy alterations (making it convertible: long to short and taking it in 4 sizes).

I just realized an added benefit of the short dress for the reception. It'll be way easier to pee!
